Stamp and show a Hat

My darling daughter Maoleidigh (may-le-dee) will be three in a week so I decided to create a vintage inspired party hat just for her...

First I collaged the cone shape with strips torn from old book pages and 7 Gypsies Victoria Paper applied with Claudine Helmuth's Matte Medium.

Then Embellished with a few Tattered Angel goodies, like the Framed Fonts, glimmer screen, Tim Holtz Heart wings for the crown and floral stamp.

I added a few paper flowers randomly then finished with a frayed top and gathered crepe which I trimmed.

Hope it inspires and why not pop round to be astounded by our amazingly talented team!!!

Quixotic, Card Patterns, Moxie Fab!

Hello...  hope you're having a fun week so far!

I wanted to stop by with a quick card I made using the cute The Greeting Farm - Miss Anya Hats Off - Stamp Set. She is coloured using copics. The sentiment is from Oliver & Amelia - Just For You Set.

I've used some bright fun papers from Echo Park - Sweet Summertime Collection Kit and they will be available in 6x6 soon.

I was inspired by the citrus colours on this weeks Moxie Fab tuesday Trigger
It doesn't show up very well in the picture that the mount to the tag is very lime green.

I have also used the fabby sketch from Card Patterns too!

That's it from me today, have a lovely creative day!

Good Morning!!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend and ready for this week's theme...

A WORD
Inspired by Rachel Jackson's article in Craft Stamper this month I decided to try my hand and alter an old book! Well actually it's an old dairy from 2006 that I just didn't use. So, after creating an opening at the front I have collaged the cover with strips torn from old book pages and applied with Claudine Helmuth's Matte Medium. Then coloured with Aged Mahogany, Black Soot and Walnut stain DI.

The central torn pages have been inked with a little vintage photo. The main image is from Tim's Papillon Stamps and sprayed with a little Heirloom gold perfect pearls mist.

The flower is made using Tim's tattered florals die, the leaves from Wendy's stamp and both cut from the Lost and Found card stack.

The Bookplate has been covered with sticky metal foil tape, adhered to grungeboard, embossed and aged with paint dabbers. The 'Fly' word is die cut from the same metal tape and I've added a couple of mini brads too!

More Paper Smooches :)

I just love Kim's spiffy scooters set, how adorable is that vintage scooter?
I've coloured using my copics and paper pieced the clouds and road.

This card is based on one of Kim's designer drafts #2

These were created with Kim's fabby templates... I couldn't reisist the worm popping out of the apple LOL! This card has all been paper pieced using Vintage blue papers and the edges inked.

I created something a little fun with this cupcake card, using the template and the wonderful vegtastic stamp set... I made it into a carrot cake.

*****

It's such heartbreaking news when I heard about the earthquake/tsunami in Japan.
I know I haven't mentioned anything about it, I don't want to see the footage it's not that I don't care I just can't comprehend the magnitude of what is happening...  there are things happening in the world that go beyond what I can cope with.
I want to help like so many of us...
I wish I could give more... and I came across
Shin Tanaka has designed a wonderful paper model to help requesting donations for the relief fund!...

Dillon and I will often spend time making paper models together and this one was adorable, thank you!
Maoleidigh loves it too! A little kiss of hope :)

They are in my thoughts and prayers... let us continue to pray and encourage those who are hurting, struggling. Let us rally as a community and send support to those in Japan who are lost, scared, needing rescue, needing hope ♥

Simon Says Stamp & Show... Some Stars

Good Morning!!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend and ready for this week's theme...

Some Stars...

For this weeks challenge I wanted to try something a little 'different'... Inspired by The Kelly Rae Roberts Angels I went to work collaging my own...

Firstly I doodled a little angel sketch, drew and cut out each piece on scrap paper to use as templates. I changed her hair slightly and made her dress a little longer from the original sketch.

The dress was made from natural sticky back canvas, then stamped with Wendy Vecchi and Tim Holtz stamps you might just see a few stars. The colour is a blend of Crushed Olive and Broken china DI. Her skin also from natural sticky back canvas, was tinted with distress stains.

Her wings are cut using heart wings die and embellished with mica flakes. Her hair was cut from old book pages, you know it's an old book when the words feel like the were made on a letter press and coloured with Walnut stain and vintage photo DI. She holds a chipboard star and on her wrist is a Star adornment on a charm clip. I have sprayed her with heirloom gold glimmer spray so she really sparkles!!!

So, until I can get hold of Tim Holtz new easel die, I've resorted to adhering a configurations box to the chipboard back, as a stand... I will of course paint it black before I give it to the resipient LOL!

Hope it inspires and why not pop round the rest of the team to see some more stars!!!

Craft Stamper Magazine ~ April Issue...

THE April issue of the Craft Stamper Magazine is already out on sale, Friday 4th...
I have two articles in this issue... Thank you Katy!

This month’s free cover mount stamp is a pretty, delicate butterfly designed for us by Chocolate Baroque. AND my little circle card is on the front cover, can you see? look to the left just above the butterfly image LOL!!! It's ALL good!

I also show you that digi stamping can be so much more than just characters to colour in.. printing on different materials, digi backgrounds and more.

Hope you get hold of a copy there's some stunning inspiration inside!
