Simon Says Stamp and Show ~ Favourite Stamp

Good Morning!!!

It's Monday, which means we have a new theme at...

and this week is your favourite stamp!!!

Choosing a favourite stamp was without a doubt the toughest challenges yet!

I really had to think about this one and decided that Wendy's background stamps always impress!!!

Alphabetically art is definitely one of my go to stamps and I have used it on the sides of my hand made box.

But more recently art colors life background stamp really impresses and is on the lid, used with white embossing powder. Everything is sanded and scuffed then all the edges are generously inked with frayed burlap distress inks!

So let me introduce you to the cutie in the gift box, I like to try lots of crafty stuff and couldn't resist one of Jenny's Pattern's. She's a little bunny made form mohair with jointed arms, legs and head.

I've dyed some seam binding with Distress inks and added a Philosophy Tag too.

On her little hat I've made a little flower from Tim's tattered florals die and a yummy Melody Ross button.

The inside of the box is lined with some gorgeous Tim Holtz Crowded Attic papers.

The ornate plate holds triple embossed sentiment covered with glossy accents. Then added more seam binding and sculpture flower.

So find the goodies at...

Hope it inspires and why not pop round to the rest of the team's inspiring projects!!!

Wendy Vecchi Stylee

Good Morning!!! It's Monday, which means we have a new theme at...

In the style of Wendy Vecchi,

I had soo much fun creating this art piece with lots of Wendy Vecchi stamps... Alphabetically art, art colors life, botanical artlive and make artnature's art.

Now, I could have gone to town with Wendy's fantastic style but lets face it She so "OWNS" it!!!
What I have done it taken some of her wonderful techniques and created something a little different.

I have used Claudine Hellmuth Gesso Primer Paint to cover all the art parts, leaves, and sample pack. A bit like Wendy does with white archival ink!

Then I've stamped a whole lot of her wonderful background stamps in coffee archival because Wendy certainly encourages that one!

We all know flowers are one of Wendy's favorite things to create so I made sure to incorporate plenty into my project.

Die cut some from distress Coredinations cardstock with a gorgeous sculpture flower centre, stamped a few, punched teeny tiny ones and even some Clearly for Art whiteout. Hope you can see there's one rolled rose in whiteout and another of Wendy's dimensional roses with a background stamp in pearl dabber and coffee edges.

I wanted to create a piece that looked like it had been around for a few years, I have sanded and scuffed all the edges and generously inked with distress inks! My favourite part is the flower art part base to the body form. I used white embossing powder with the floral background stamp and it looks like lace yummy will definitely use that method again! My dimensional book page body form wouldn't be complete without a pair of wings!!!

Old Wives' Tale ~ Simon Says Stamp and Show

Good Morning!!! It's Monday!!! which means, we have a new theme at...

Old Wives' Tale
I had trouble choosing just one Old Wives' Tale but decided to use salt as my theme...

The following old wives' tales should be taken with a pinch of salt.(tee hee)
Bad luck will follow the spilling of salt unless a pinch is thrown over the left shoulder into the face of the devil waiting there.
Put salt on the doorstep of a new house and no evil can enter.
Salty soup is a sign that the cook is in love.
Salt last forever and never spoils.

The Background has been treated with salt sprinkled onto distress stains to create a texture similar to watercolour effect. The bird image is stamped in coffee archival, the bird's have a little salt glued to give a subtle shimmer.

For the bird cage I've been eager to try some salt embossing and applied distress inks to enhance.

The tattered flower was cut from distress Coredinations cardstock, with a sculpture flower centre.

You can find the other goodies on this card at...

Stamping Art!

I wanted to share a little project I have over at Quixotic...
I started out with the intention of creating a card but sometimes the project just follows their own route and want to be a little different! As you can see I'm still using the wonderful characters in the The Greeting Farm - Stamp Kit- Creeper Crew - Creepin' and I picked the fabulous Sasha for my picture. Sasha reminds me very much of Maoleidigh, I've coloured with copics and her dress is paper pieced.
Inspired to create a background with clouds and sky I used a masking technique by tearing paper cloud shapes and using repositioning glue before airbrushing. I had the idea of creating a rainbow, just had to be done with those clouds ROTFL! I did however need to spray a generous amount of colourless blender to make the rainbow a little more transparent!
I obviously have a love of long wild grass I just go with it and the grass gradually grows as I colour and with wild flowers like dandelions it's so fun to create. It doesn't show in my photos but I've added just a touch of spica glitter to the flower centres.
Now onto the fun part of my project, Here's a close up of the yummy new MAKE IT CRAFTY LASERCUT CHIPBOARD. I've used swirly corners for three of the corners and the butterflies are from the fine swirls set. I've glued all the laser cut pieces in place before giving the frame a weathered crackle effect. Then a little distress stain was lightly added to age it.
The mount is patterned paper from the gorgeous GRAPHIC 45 ONCE UPON A SPRINGTIME
I added a grunge edge to the cutout of the mount using distress ink and stamping stempleglede grunge collection directly onto the patterned paper.
I used that many colours to complete my picture I needed two pots to picture the copics I used LOL!

I have included a few challenges in my piece too...
copic creations #49 ~ sky/clouds
Crazy Challenge ~ Anything Goes
Make It Monday ~ Anything Goes
Timeless Tuesday #117 ~ Anything Goes
Creative Craft Challenge ~ Vintage and distressed
Southern Girls Challenge ~ Let's hear it for the Girls
Anyone for Anya ~ Smelling like a rose

Thank you so much for stopping by I will be back with a sneak from Craft Stamper and a link to some various copic inks for sale!!!
Have a wonderfully creative time:)

Anything Goes at Simon Says Stamp and Show!!!

Good Morning!!! It's Monday!!! so, we have a new theme at...

Anything goes!

I was inspired to draw around my hand onto shrink plastic, then simply adhered Patterned paper to the underside and shaped using my heat tool.
The Wendy Vecchi art parts have been treated with cosmic shimmer effect using cafe perfect pearls, and clear utee just love this effect, seems a shame to cover it with all the other goodies like patterned paper and bling gear.

While the shrink was out, couldn't help it the butterfly was stamped and then the back coloured with paint dabber when shrunk, finished with a spinner centre.

Lots of other Ranger goodies adorn this piece too!
