'Journey' ~ Second day of Club Anya & Frends Preview's

Well Good morning, it's our second day of previews and we're introducing another addition to the adorable Oliver and Amelia collection... 'journey'. We also have a sketch to inspire you designed by Jess over at Club Anya & Friend's.

My post is a little picture heavy today,
I wanted to show you all the bits, tee hee!
How stunningly adorable are these two?
I've used Amelia and she just made me think of vintage chic!

The papers helped, they inspired the colours of Amelia's best travelling outfit!
I made these little air dry clay embellishments a while back and they were great to accompany the canvas flower. I've added a little pearl brad and pearl paint to highlight!
The ticket stub uses one of the sentiments in the set and I have doodled the black outline plus a little dotted line.

For my luggage tag gift tag I have cut first from kraft, black pen doodling and inked the edges. For the image I have stamped onto patterned paper and coloured the background with distress ink. I managed to recolour the ribbon with distress ink, to co-ordinate too.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: pink paislee: bayberry cottage; PTI: Kraft;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: OA~ journey(available 1st July); PTI: polka dots;
Ink: Memento: black; Copic: markers*; Ranger ~ distress inks: Victorian velvet; old paper;

Club Anya & Friends ~ Saturday Sketch Time...

This is my second post today so please scroll down for my Basic Grey challenges card

Over at Club Anya & Friends it's Saturday sketch #24!

I went all out girly for this one and I was in a painty mood, so out came the distress inks and my water brush too. Now I think I need a little practice with the painting (and the photography hahaha forgive the blurrrr) but pretty pleased with it... I'm possibly heavy handed and add too much colour. I have incorporated so much sparkle on this card it's unreal but couldn't resist tee hee and goes with the challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts: nice and girlie.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: The Girls' Paperie: Paper Girl;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: OA ~ My favorite things;
Ink: Memento: black; Ranger: Distress inks ~ (walnut stain, antique linen, spun sugar, worn lipstick, victorian velvet, barn door);

Don't Wear stripes on Screen....

Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there, hope they have a very special day :) Here's one of the father's day cards I made (you know how it is... as a cardmakers you need to make at least three to cover the father figures in the family)...

So the fabulously talented designer Betsy Veldmen has set a challenge to find a piece of men's wear that inspires you and to create a project based on that piece. I just had to have a go...

This is the shirt I picked as inspiration, the patterns are fab, but what I really love is the subtle white embroidery of flowers! I tried to mimic this with a little heat embossing...
The stripes and arglye have been stamped in distress inks and I created the sentiment based on the shirt label on the back.
 Supplies: Patterned Paper: look no patterned paper (shock); WRMK: textured cardstock;
Stamps: Papertrey Ink: father knows best; a little argyle; background basics: retro; in bloom;
Ink: Ranger distress inks: stormy sky; tumbled glass; clear embossing;
Other: Embossing powder: white; PTI: buttons; stitch tracer; 3D adhesive foam;

The colours were perfect for the PDCC #34 challenge this week and the design was inspired by Get Sketchy #43

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful day BiG HuGs Kim :)

Oh Alice ~ Mad Watch with Mercy's sketch

Challenge #17 Mad Watch over at Oh Alice is a steam punk jewellery inspiration piece very pretty....

I have followed Mercy's fabulous Sketch - #78  too. These Alice Charms are found at Disney family, I love sites that have fun crafts like this, myself and Dillon will spend hours making stuff together!
Also I was so very lucky to win the monthly challenge over at Tickled Pink Stamp Challenge #1 and received 5 of these gorgeous, stunning, beautiful new Lil Lolita Stamps, Thank You Kellie :)
A little creative experimenting... I thought I would try stamping her directly onto canvas and coloured using my copics. Well.... they bleed like no-body's business and the colour is so, so, so much stronger then on paper. It was good fun, I have embellished the piece with some die cut gears and bits.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee: 365 Degrees; PTI: Kraft; Inkjet shrink plastic; Sticky back canvas;
Stamps: Lil Lolita: Ivy; The Greeting farm: Spotlight kit: sentiment; watch(from an old set);
Ink: Memento & archival: black; Copic: markers*; Distress: frayed burlap;
Dies: Spellbinders nestabilities: circles; Sizzix: gears; Martha Stewart: border punch;
Other: Tim Holtz: paper clips; brads; safety pin; jump rings; 3D foam;
