It takes a village of stamps to create a cute doodle background...

We have a new challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today,
and here's my fun card with a super cute doodle background.
It's kawaii inspired, but I guess anything can look cute when they have eyes and a smile. I used yupo paper for a change, so I ended up using archival black ink as after some testing that one dried quickly enough so that I could add a mask to it.
I happily stamped away, using masks to give foreground and overlapping layers. My pops of doodling might need some work, there is lots of inspiration and tutorials online. I used my posca pen as after a few tests that worked on the yupo the best, it dries very matt.
as you can see I used many stamps to get all the cute images, the tree hugs, high in the sky, folk fabrique, the designa adorimals set, cute nativity, the bottle of, sugar skulls, and finished off with the adorable kawaii face set to give each character their fab expression. I've die cut the 'smile' sentiment, in fine type and added pen detail.

and I would love to enter my project to these wonderful challenges too...

Craft Stamper Take it, Make it Challenge Six

Good Morning, well I have been a bit busy for the last few weeks... designing,  Christmas card making and getting all the decorations out and dressing the tree, so it didn't leave a lot of time for other inky stuff but I'm sure the recipient has received their card so thought it fitted perfectly into the

As always, the challenge will be based on a technique showcased in the magazine, but this time we don't have one particular project in mind. Katy decided that as there are three projects featuring an 'ombre' effect in the January issue, then this is the technique we'll be focussing on!

an 'ombre' effect is just graduating colours of ink/paint/whatever....but feel free to interpret the theme as you wish!
I got out my Oriental Zen set and created an ombre background in graduating tones of green to tan inks, stamping off to get a fainter impression.
The peony, I have stamped twice, one with the leaves, then cut out with a border to look like a die cut, I cut the main flower with a border too. The sentiment comes from the Tree Hugs stamp set.

I hope you get some time to join in, the challenge runs for two months so plenty of inky time.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderfully creative day
