Club Anya & Friends preview - Oliver And Amelia

Hello and Good morning, it's the final April preview over at Club Anya & Friends before the release and fool's day tomorrow ;) GOSH you are going to love these two, I seriously had trouble picking which adorable image to use for this card, they are without a doubt toooo Cuuute, tee hee....

As you can see I went for Oliver and his doggy buddy, that dog looks like a great friend, so adorable! I have coloured them with my copics and used my 'go to' boy papers! (They just always work LOL!) As it's a boy card there's little need for too many embellishments either. There are a few fabulous sentiments in this set too!

I have based my card on the wonderful sketch over at sketch saturday but just noticed that I have actually missed the deadline as you do, tee hee, still great sketch though!

Anya's Stamping too.... April's sneek peek

Good morning, it's another April preview over at Club Anya & Friends you might find this Anya very crafty, tee hee....

Well.... you've been asking for this little cutie since she was spotted in CHA!!! I so totally Stamping as I think we all do, tee hee.
And for this card I decided to do just that, yep noo patterned paper (I KNOW shock horror!!!) I have stamped the card base with large polka dots, and inked the edges slightly. The panel has been stamped with houndstooth backgrounder and the edges punched and embellished with some pretty adhesive stones.
I have used Tim Holtz stamps for the circles and the dots on the folded underside, my own double sided papers LOL! The butterfly is stamped and die cut also with inked edges. Seeing as I had my distress inks out on the table and loving these new colours I had to then restamp Stamping Anya onto some watercolour paper so I could paint her to co'ordinate.
If you can tell, my card is loosely based on the fabulous sketch over at Get sketchy.

Supplies: Paper: PTI: pink card; Watercolour paper;
Stamps: TGF: Stamping Anya (release 1st April); Stampers Anonymous: Tim Holtz bitty grunge;
PTI: Polka Dot Basics II; butterfly Dreams; CHF: Houndstooth background;
Ink: Archival: black; Ranger: Distress inks*;
Dies: PTI: butterfly; Martha Stewart: corner and border punch;
Other: Adhesive stones; 3D foam;

Wow what a weekend, not only up to the Royal Academy in London on Friday (more to follow) but out all day saturday at the NEC we had a fabulous fantastic time us blogging buddies. I did buy a few yummy crafty supplies and I would have taken a picture but I was already into the packaging and playing to make this next sneek peek....

It's the second preview of The Greeting Farm's new April releases, Marie has designed this adorable cutie Deedee and this little beauty reminded me just a bit of my sweet angel, curly hair (check), angelic face (check), cute boots (check), so as it's Maoleidigh's birthday on Friday (Phew) and she will be two and she's a proper girly girl I have made her this little dinky handbag! It really isn't a great design, you see I thought I would be clever and add an extra pleat or two for her  rummagey little hands but then the flap of the bag just doesn't close properly... it definitely needs more work on it.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket; girl friday;
Stamps: TGF: ws Deedee -(release 1st April);
Ink: memento; Copic: markers*;
Dies: Sizzix: flower layers; foliage; Spellbinders: Nestabilities: labels; butterflies; Martha Stewart: corner and border punch;
Other: coloured felt; BG: button and brads; Adhesive stones; 3D foam;

Club Anya & Friends have a wonderful sketch challenge today too, which I have based my card on, the rocker metal look led me to the machine type idea with gears etc... The oval gear matt I have created by dry embossing the oval die and cutting the teeth of the gears free hand and a bit rough he he! The sentiment is from two other Anya sets which I liked the teaming up of. Pumice stone distress ink totally rocks.... it's great for the mucky markings on the patterned paper FAB!!!

BasicGrey Challenges - Tutti Frutti :)

Good Morning, this is a very quick post to show you my very clean and simple card for Basic Grey Challenges this week.... We have a theme of Tutti Frutti to inspire you...

This is a seriously quick card to make, I have stamped the apple on the white circle and again in green and red and cut the different parts to give dimension. I went over the apple seeds with a black pen, simple! I adhered the patterned paper with dimensional adhesive foam before placing the apple embellishment in place!  I used white paint under the sentiment as is got lost with the fruity patttern!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: BasicGrey: offbeat; Stamps: BasicGrey: farmers market; PTI: sentiment; Ink: Archival: black; colourbox & brilliance; Ranger: Acrylic paint dabbers; Dies: Nestabilities: circles;  Other: Dimensional adhesive foam;

Thanks for stopping by, there's a wonderful sketch over at Club Anya & Friend's today.  I'm off to take the little ones for a morning show at the cinema the weather is undecided as to sunny or rain! Have a fabulous weekend BiG HuGs Kim :)

Wild Card Wednesday!!! "I See"....

Top'O' the morning to ya!!! and a very Happy St Patrick's Day!!!

It's time for another Wild Card Wednesday Challenge... and the challenge for you this week is to incorporate some sort of aperture, to your cards... Maybe a circle or lots of circles, a square or oval it's your chance to be Creative with an Aperture.

Here's my creative take, although I had a totally different design planned until I remembered what day it is today and couldn't pass up the opportunity to include a little St Paddy's....

So the shamrock aperture I created by drawing around a tipsy heart three times and adding a stalk. I don't get much chance to alter but thought I would have a go and WS - Huge has become very festive tee hee, the outfit is partly WS - Edward which I have given a little jacket and bow tie. His fabulous hat was inspired from the wonderland set... with huge buckle and ribbon. The Cheers sign is free to swing and can even be taken off too!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Sassafras: marmelade;
Stamps: TGF: ws-Hugh; ws-Edward; Talk Loud; houndstooth background;
Ink: memento & archival: black; Copic: markers*; distress inks;
Dies: Sizzix: tipsy hearts; tag; Spellbinders: fancy tags; Nestabilities: Ovals;
Other: 3D foam;

*Skin: E000, 21,13 & RV10, Hair: E08, 97, 99, Outfit: BG96, G94, Y28, 35, R24, 39, E79 and I use my colourless Blender throughout.

I hope you get the chance to join in!!! Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a fun Paddy's Day, BiG HuGs Kim :)

Mothers(s) Day with Embellish, card patterns, a long post

I'm so sorry for my long break between posts and not getting the chance to visit and leave you some well deserved comments... I haven't forgotten you :)...
but I have taken a bit of a break and this following week as well....I intend to schedual an occasional something or other and we have the April Anya preview coming at the end of the month. I have a few personal goals and things on my to-do list that I am excited to focus on! They are very important to me and that will require my undivided attention for a leetle while...but I'll be around as time permits...

SO... this weekend has seen some major card making LOL! Happy mother's Day to all who celebrated it on Sunday. I had a lovely day and feel very blessed :). Then on Monday was my Mum's Birthday and tomorrow the wonderful St Patrick's Day too, phew!!!
This first card covers a few challenges around this week,
Embellish magazine has a fabulous colour challenge with fabric. I had so much fun and really enjoyed creating with new materials... Firstly the fabric is the sticky back canvas mmm' wow' love this stuff it stamps so well and you can rip it and pull it and then it sticks and you can fray and ink the edges!
I even die cut it and stamped the fabulous butterfly, I de-tacked the sticky back with my dust buddy. The other bit of fabric is the brad on main image. The vase I had fun with, inking with distress ink and put a very generous layer of rock candy crackle paint! I followed Card patterns sketch prettty much as it is :)
Patterned papers: Cosmo Cricket: PTI: Kraft; PM: textured;
Stamps: PTI: Butterfly dreams; blooming button bits;
Ink: Distress inks; pallette: white;
Dies: PTI: butterfly; WRMK: corner chomper;
Other: Sticky back canvas; roak candy clear crackle paint; PTI: buttons; Offray: satin ribbon; natural thread; fabric brad; 3D foam;

This next mother's day card was for my mum and I went very vintage, the little angel cards are printed from a cd 'so cute' :). The flowers I made myself from die cutting, layering and inking the papers so they are double sided. The large button is the angel printed in black and white. I then adhered onto greyboard and cut into circle. Punched the two holes and covered with glossy accents and then it happened.....

....yes, the image completely distorted, went all over the place giving a 'blue' colour more porcelain really, which was a wonderful happy accident (love them, don't you?) I also made the box envelope to match :).

Patterned papers: K&Co; PTI: kraft;
Stamps: Joanna Sheen: Angel cd; Hero Arts: sentiment;
Ink: Distress inks; archival: black;
Dies: Sizzix: flower daisies; circles; border punch;
Other: Greyboard; glossy accents; Offray: satin ribbon; lace; 3D foam;

Thank you so much for stopping by, now if you get the chance tomorrow I have set a fun challenge for Club Anya so hope you will come and see!!! BiG HuGs, Kim :)

Good Morning, well I thought I would take part in the fabulous colour inspiration challenge over at Oh, Alice...

CHAPTER 3: Painting the Roses Red
"Would you tell me please," said Alice a little timidly, "Why are you painting those roses?"
Five and Seven said nothing, but looked at Two. Two began in a low voice, "Why the fact is, you see, Miss, this here ought to have been a Red rose tree, and we put a white one in by mistake"...

Painting the Roses RED...and blue...and purple.... the colours in the inspiration picture. I have used Dawns  fab sketch from ICS as the base of my card. I've tried to keep it clean and simple :) Still loving the creepy cakes LOL! I thought I would use every red marker in my collection for her hair, mad hey? A few fiddly bits to cut out though!
