Inspirational Card Sketches #3

At the wonderful Inspirational Card Sketches blog it's our second week and sketch challenge #3

This is a great & easy sketch by the fabby Dawn to follow and then this paper did most of the work for me. Love the colours and the pattern, the pages are double sided so lovely on an acetate card!
I have gone for a manly card, quite pleased with the result it wasn't how I imagined. I am so happy with the foam alphabet, the "super cool" is a rubon, as is the damask (representing one of the semi circles).
The die cut swirl in the collection kit I was thinking of like a spring and added the paper gear with a small brad, I have created layers using 3D foam. Acetate cards are not easy to photograph!

Basic Grey Challenge - Lets Mix it Up

Challenge 21 - Lets Mix it Up

My good friend Martine gave me this gorgeous Tilda stamp and thought it really needed a bit of dimensional paper piecing.... I have stamped different sections of image onto some BG papers from ranges offbeat, blush and cupcake! The circle that Tilda is stamped on I have created background using the hearts with swirls from the inspire me BG stamps and softened the edges with distress inks. The Balloons have also been paper pieced! Click on images to get close up of detail!

Paper: Basic Grey - offbeat, blush and cupcake, heavy weight cartridge, Brown pearl textured,

Photo tag

I have been photo tagged by friend's Kelly and Chris, thank you ladies
OK so you are supposed to:
1. navigate to where you keep your pictures, select the 4th/6th folder, and the 4/6th picture in that folder.
2. Then post it on your blog with an explanation of the story behind the picture
3. tag 6 other people to do the same, and make sure you let them know about it
but I have only two photo folders and the six folder had all of three pictures of invites in, you see I haven't had this computer for very long and I tend to have loads of photo's stored on lots of disk's! Not in any order either, so I've gone to second folder and fourth folder and six photo which is a combination of both the tag's...

Well here's Maoleidigh, Reading her book I'm sure she thinks it's just a funny shaped toy and it gets turned, chewed and thrown about, but she loves it all the same! It was a gift from the Christmas just gone (2008) and she is over eight months old in this pic! We all had major colds and flu too!

OK, I am never very good at playing along and actually tagging people, but I thought this was kind of fun! This tag has gone round quite a few blogs so if you've had it already don't worry, now I would like to tag...

Sketch Saturday AND Colour Create!!!

Thought I would have a go, this is my first time trying the Sketch Saturday challenge...
I have used the tree from father knows best set again, but this time I have heat embossed with clear ep masked it and stamped more with distress inks giving a softness to the distant trees! I kept to the colour tones of the dp! The brads I wanted to keep to a natural theme and I inked the thread to match the colours of these buttons.

Materials:
Paper: WeRMM - Write Out explore collection, PTI - Kraft
Dis:
Nestabilities rectangles, labels 1,
Stamps: PTI -
Father Knows Best ,
Ink: Versamark, mix of Distress inks, Versafine black,
Other: American Crafts grosgrain ribbon, Tim's Edge distresser, clear ep, Glossy accents, BG buttons, natural string, 3D foam,

The Next Card is for the new challenge blog created by the very talented Tara called Colour Create.....

The first challenge just happens to be my favourite colours I think you'll find most of my BG papers cover this one! Which is exactly what I used, the photo's are the worst and the pink is much brighter IRL, on this I have printed the wonderful rose digi drawings from the talented Chris! I then used my copic's to enhance the details and added a few highlights, they're so pretty and delicate! This was such a quick card to create and thin for posting too!

Materials:
Paper: BG - Sultry, Textured Pearl - Brown,
Dis: corner rounder,
Stamps: Sketching stamper - lots of flowers, HOTP - sentiment,
Ink: Colourbox, copic sketch markers, white gel pen,
Other: American craft ribbon, 3D foam,

Wow! two cards in one post, thanks for stopping by and getting this far, hope you have a good Friday we're having another snow day at home the hills are too bad here and the council has stopped all the school buses!!! HuGs Kim x
