Me and My Shadow !!

DCM - Two cards, not the same!

Hiya fellow darers, Jane here ! How are you all ? This weeks dare is a hard one !! Sorry everyone, but it had to be done !! :)

I want you to create not just one but TWO cards ! But wait........there's more ! I want both cards to contain the same embellishments and papers, ribbons etc- but arranged in a different way for a different occasion....the only thing being different is the wording....I'll let you have different wording ! (How nice of me eh?) I'm well aware this is a really hard challenge, and that I have thrown everyone into 2008 off the deep end....but go on- give it a go -

I DARE YOU !

So I had a go... the stamp is one I've wanted to use for a while and I reckon it fits more then one occasion.
On one I Stamped and heat embossed with black and coloured like watercolour effect using my pigment pens. The other I piece worked with the floral papers and I cut out and put vellum behind for the windows. Raised on to 3d foam. Used the same papers and ribbon and added the sentiments!

Thanks for looking! Fun challenge!

Thanks a Bunch

This card covers two challenges....

Lauren Meader - Saturday Sketch... she has a wonderful blog, you should check it out! Lauren is a very creative and talented woman.

And
Papertake - This weeks challenge, Thanks a bunch! is to make a Thank you card or notelet - I figured we might need some for the Christmas thank you's!

I received this stamp free on the font of my magazine and thought it would suit. I inked in black and heat embossed with clear ep. Then coloured using my pigment ink pens.

Then cut with my nestabilities. The patterned paper pocket full of posies I also cut with nestabilities putting it through a few times to cut the two circles. Used my pigment pens to colour the small flowers to coordinate the colour.
The blue card I cut and embellished with glitter pen and a blue gem.I like this sketch is was fun to try! Thanks Lauren.

Thanks for stopping by!

Papertake - Birthday Bling!

This weeks challenge on papertake is... 'Bit 'a' Bling' is to use 'bling' on your card somewhere!! This could be glitter, gems, or anything else sparkly!!

OOOOh! Love sparkly and bling so pretty much covered this card in it..

Die cuts (of Course), I used DCWV glitter paper cos it has glitter already in it. The candle I added glitter and an adhesive gem, the circle is cut with nesabilities and embossed with daisy design also added bit more glitter to this you can never have too much! Then stamped the sentiment with HOTP clear stamp and white embossing powder. Glitter is a little difficult to photograph but tried to get in close.

Thanks for stopping by and I'm loving all your great comments!

DCM - New

'HAPPY NEW YEAR DARING CARD MAKERS'

The first dare of 2008 is set by me (Lynne). For this weeks dare, I would like our cards to celebrate...
'New'

So not only New Year, but maybe New Home, New Baby, New Job or maybe a card for someone who is starting a new chapter in their life.

It's wonderful when the sun is shining and I can get a photo before the clouds decide to go over. I seem to be catching up and thought I would make a baby card for this dare. There is a baby boom at the moment so will definately need this one!

Love this fun paper and I even managed to continue theme to the inside too! Die Cuts (of Course) using my nestabilities and some sizzix.

I stamped the sentiment on the inside with HOTP clear stamp, I drew the faux stitches on the edge of the pocket. The rest is more die cuts... the hippo is just too cute and I don't know the sex yet so tried for generic colours.
Thanks for stopping by I wll upload another card later! Kim x

Caardvarks challenge.

Hi all! Welcome back to Caardvarks! We are starting off 2008 with an exclusive sketch challenge from Becky Fleck. Becky created this CardMap just for us! We'd *love* to see your take on this one...link us to your creation in the comments section of this post by January 18th.

So thought I would have a go at this challenge.... it's been a while! Pretty much followed the sketch as it is. Wanted to use the flower paper with the gold mirri centers and used colours that complemented paper.

Thanks, as always for stopping by.

DCM - Thank you

DCM - Dare... Team dare year end....4 of the best

Hi All. Today we have decided to revisit your most favourite dares of 2007. The four top dares, decided by the number of comments you made on them are (in no particular order): 'buttons', 'ribbons', ...'and cut' and 'frames'. We would like you to use this week as many of those dares as you like to make your card in any theme and any style.

My cards are a little late... a few has Buttons and all have frames which I created with my nestabilities, my cutting is the die cutting but I think it was meant to be hand cut! Then I continued the theme and created ten, I have lots of thank you cards to send.

Thanks for stopping by and for all your lovely comments!
