Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #115 ~ Picture Inspiration

Good morning,
What a crazy and scary start to spring, it's the unexpected last day for the kiddies to be at school, Dillon will be part of history where their gcse exams were cancelled, where every child had to actually get home education. I do hope you are all well and safe. We are amongst the healthy, I still plan on working when the time allows, and the post office is still running and my sister will still be working at the local supermarket. Plus it's mother's day this weekend too ♥.

But I'm here to share my project for our current challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog...
It's not a great card, I feel she is a little lost looking, maybe I'm channelling that one, but I just wanted to play with the soft colours and felt watercolour would fit the effect.
I stamped a flourish from the flourishing hair for her hair, used the mask to stamp the profile face dinky in the same ink onto watercolour card, the rough textured kind.
I stamped a single hand along the curl so she could catch the stars. Using the colours from the picture as inspiration... I used wet in wet technique of dropping in colours, and used the same palette to colour her face and hand.
To create my polka dot background, I used distress oxides onto kraft card, then finished off with a simply stamped sentiment.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #114 ~ Anything Goes

Good morning,
Popping by to share my project for our current anything goes challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog...
I challenged myself to a restricted palette and created this layered paper piece.
Not gonna lie it took some time, I would stamp and colour in watching tv with kiddies, then fussy cut everything too. I've used the flourishing hair as flourishing tendrils, stamped in victorian velvet oxide and fussy cut leaving a border.
I have stamped the dinky female faces portrait and 3/4 view, in pumice stone oxides and coloured using pink and red colouring pencils, with a little purple for shadows. As you can see I've only used the fringes from the wavy bunches and the rag tails mixed media templates to frame their faces.
I very lightly drew a heart shape in pencil and stamped a whole lot of blossoms using the same method as their faces, I only fussy cut a few individual flowers and kept bigger clusters to make the layering a little easier.
I added as many of the dinky hands as I could.
The flourish and grow stamp set can be found amongst the background and all stuck onto an ornate frame substrate.

I am pleased to be able to join these lovely challenges...
