Inspirational Card Sketches #10

Good Morning, it's Tuesday and time for Inspirational Card Sketches we're now on sketch challenge #10! So if you have a chance do check out the other Design Team creations!!!

Well... another fantastic sketch by the lovely Dawn, and it was great working with the layout. I managed to create this card in no time at all, it just flowed.

My little miss Anya stamps arrived yesterday morning and I couldn't wait, had to ink one up, this card is intended for my baby girl. Wow!!! Maoleidigh will be one on Thursday, our little Angel so the sentiment was perfect... But maybe the image is a bit old I'm sure it won't be too long till she's dressed to kill! Diva with those boots LOL!

Image has been coloured in my copics and cut with nesties, I left the die in place to ink the edges in a soft blue colour box ink pad. I have added faux stitching to the scallop nestie matt and raised on 3D foam. Love this paper I have had it in my stash for some time now and thought it great for young baby girly card without being too babyish. I have stamped the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper and trimmed with a little border, raised on about three layers of foam but it probably won't need to be posted.
I got these brads at Olympia they're gorgeous they're like little gems. Well this pom pom ribbon I just love, talk about super cute and adorable. That's about it really, I may get time to create a more baby themed one before Thursday, but it's the last week of school for Easter and I feel there may be need of a few Easter cards for the lovely Ladies that teach my Dillon.

Stampin Chic - Colour challenge #2

A Wonderful Monday morning hope you had a fantastic weekend, well today it's my turn and to show what I've created for the colour challenge this week on Stampin chic set by Kath and Sheila, the colours are...

PINK AND BLACK
I bet we're all a bit partial to pink and black, fantastic colours together. This card was created then endlessly fixed... do you find sometimes you're forever fixing a card instead of designing? I originally stamped the sentiment in pink ink with pink powder and it turned a wonderful shade of purple when heated, which obviously isn't pink, well I then turned my card stock around and tried again with just ink and that decides to disappear a bit so went over the sentiment AGAIN with holographic powder so now it's a subtle bit of glittery wishes LOL!
The base I have used Core'dinations with a pink backing that I have scratched and sanded to shabbify. The good bits on this card are the flowers I have stamped them with black ink onto colours of pink and cut out and embellished with a brad. The cake embellishment I have simply stamped onto the pail pink card stock and adhered to a PM metal frame (great to rediscover some hidden stash). The frill has been stamped and cut and embellished with those stunning PM pink shimmer dots. I have also used a few to decorate around the flowers. You can click pictures for a close up!

Materials:
Paper: Papermania - sweet nothings, red hot pinks card, Core'dinations - black magic,
Stamps: CCSR - Doodles Stamps, CCSR - Sentiments, Papermania - sweet nothings,
Ink: Clearsnap - Queues Fluid ink, Whispers - Brushmarkers, Vivid - black
Other: Heat it up ep - pink, holographic, 3d foam, PM - Metal frame tags, PM - specail brads, PM - shimmer dots, anita's - ribbon,

We would love you to join in with our colour challenge this week, just go to Mr Linky pop in your name and the link to your entry can't wait to see all your Pink and Black cards this week and don't forget to pop back tomorrow to see what the talented Mina will be showing for the colour challenge,

BasicGrey Challenge #28

Wow it's Saturday already and time for a fantastic Basic Grey Challenge! so for this weeks challenge we have a fabulous sketch for you to follow, which was designed by our Talented Design Team Member Rica.

I had a lot of fun with this one, dimensional paper piecing is one of my favourite techniques I find that it produces a very effective card and so I just went from there!!!
These BG stamps are gorgeous I have simply stamped them onto one of the plainer decorative papers and cut out with a slight border! These are in place of the two rectangles on the sketch.
I have used white paint to distress the papers in a different way, still not sure of it! I've pretty much stuck to the rest of the sketch! click on the images to get a close look...

Materials:
Paper: BG - boxer, chipboard,
Stamps: Funky Kits -
Foxy, BG - Insignia (boxer)
Die's: Sizzix - Alphabet, Nestabilities - squares,
Ink:Memento - Black, Acrylic Dabber - snow cap,
Other: 3D foam, bling.

Thanks for stopping by, I realise I haven't been very active with my blogging lately, I'm still just catching up... I have a few things I'm working on that I can't reveal yet!
Have a great weekend, HuGs Kim x

Stampin Chic ~ Sketch Challenge #2

It's my turn on Stampin' Chic.... and this week

Clare has created another fantastic sketch for you to follow, feel free to rotate, flip and/or re size the elements on the sketch but please make sure that the sketch can easily be recognised, and of course to qualify for this weeks prize (which is a mystery prize and will be revealed by Clare when she gets a chance to get back online) you must use at least 1 item from Clare Curds signature range somewhere on your creation...

A little experimental with this creation... I have stamped and heat embossed onto acetate for the gorgeous flowers. You should be able to see the layers better in the close ups. (I'm very pleased with my close ups today they turned out so focused, which I usually mess up) and yes I cut around all the pretty flower buds. The stem is fab, I've created it with the new PM shimmer dots. For the leaf I have simply cut one of the large shimmer dots with my Xcut scissors.

The button and arrow I have embossed and paper pieced. I've embellished the button with a couple more of those super cute shimmer dots. Click on the pictures for a close up look!

Materials:
Paper: CCSR - the big one Paper pack, Core'dinations - black magic, acetate, white card,
Stamps: CCSR - Doodles Stamps, CCSR - Sentiments, Papermania - sweet nothings
Other: Heat it up ep -
black and seafoam white, 3D foam, PM - pretty brads, PM - shimmer dots,
I can't wait to see what you all come up with and you will have to pop back tomorrow to see what the talented Mina has created with the sketch. Also don't forget to leave us a message and a link to your creation with Mr Linky so that we can pop by and admire....

Inspirational Card Sketch #9

Good Morning, it's Tuesday and time for Inspirational Card Sketches we're now on sketch challenge #9! So if you have a chance do check out the other Design Team creations!!!

Well... another fantastic sketch by the talented Dawn, and it was great working with the layout.
I have used the gorgeous patterned paper to represent the swirly wave on the left. I have lifted this side up a little with thin foam tape. The branch has been hand cut direct from the patterned paper and also raised on foam. The pretty leaves I have embellished with a little glitter.

Well I had to use a new Tilda I bought the other day and coloured her with my copics. I've tried to coordinate with the paper and the sentiment fitted in her tag just perfectly. You might be able to see a few touches of glitter on her outfit too! Then I have cut her out and raised her on a good bit of 3d foam. Don't you just love her socks!!!

Materials:
Paper: WRMK -
Nonsense Pad Of Papers & Embellishments, white card,
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda, PTI - Mixed messages,
Ink: Memento - black, copics sketch, sakura - stardust
Other: 3D foam, adhesive gems.

Hope you will join in this week and make a card using the wonderful sketch. Remember you can turn, flip or do anything you like with the sketch. And it's even easier to show us your wonderful creations using Mr. Linky!!!
Thanks for stopping by and I am so sorry for not getting commenting on your gorgeous creations I have been so busy lately... but I am really looking forward to seeing your creations!

BasicGrey Challenge #27

It's Saturday and time for another Basic Grey Challenge! and for this weeks challenge we would like to see some texture on your creations, texture can be achieved is so many ways, but to name a few to give you some ideas, how about heat embossing, dry embossing, flock, felt, glitter, glossy accents, the list could go on

Well, I haven't posted for a little while, just sooo busy right now...
Here's my creation for the BG challenges and I have added LOTS of texture....
The back I have ripped all edges. The dry embossing on the green I have highlighted with a smidgen of acrylic paint and embellished with some gorgeous lace.
The flower layer is... felt, paper, chipboard, glittered brad (reminds me of jelly tot) I created it by covering BG brad with glossy accents and dunking into pot of glitter. Then left to dry! I have placed the flower onto chipboard decorative accent!
The bird has to be my favourite bit, I have die cut it with double sided adhesive sheet on top of the decorative paper and rubbed fun flock all over. It's better IRL, it feels so velvety and lovely!
Now the sentiment I've really banjaxed... I wanted it flocked and it messed up the words so I rubbed it off but some of the flocked stayed and so I then decided that it's actually a texture so I kept it. I've cut with my nestabilities. I could call it a happy accident and I bet no one would have noticed with all the other fancy stuff going on, LOL!!! Butterfly has been embellished with glitter on the wings

Paper: BG - Urban prairie, chipboard,

Happy Tuesday it's St Patrick's Day and time for Inspirational Card Sketches and it's now our sketch challenge #8! Check out the other Design Teams creations they're so wonderful!!!

This is a fantastic sketch by the wonderful Dawn, and it was great working with the layout I made the card using this shape and loved how it turned out, may have to use this again!!! I just went a little o.t.t with these K&Co papers. Yum colours.

I have cut a long card and scored to create the front and trimmed the back to create the tag top. Covered the inside and the front with patterned paper. The flower has been die cut from vellum and dry embossed with folder. I then went over it with acrylic paint. The centre bling is gorgeous Prima Centre kisses. The buttons are such lovely colours and I have simply adhered them in place with glue dots! The Mum has been die cut and place on paper shadow cut. I have created a washer from patterned paper and fixed in place with a large eyelet. Finished off with a couple of ribbons! Click on images for a close up.

Materials:
Paper: K&Co - Amy Butler, BG - pink, PM - blue Vellum, Fun Foam,
Die's: Sizzix - Daisies, Graffitti, Cutb'g - Tag, Nestabilities - circles,

BasicGrey challenge #26 - All Round

It's Saturday and time for another Basic Grey Challenge! I hope you will join us again, this week the Challenge is to have all round corners on your card, so time to search out your corner rounder, LOL!

This became a simple card with very few embellishments, these stamps are gorgeous and I just love the branch. Such a cute birdie too. I have very simply stamped them both onto plain white card stock and highlighted with a stardust pen then cut and rounded the corners. All the PP has rounded corners.

For the key I have die cut from shrink plastic and coloured with cloudy blue Adirondack light, then I added an extra hole at the top before I heated to shrink. The ribbon section and main image have been raised on 3d foam. Click on images from a close look!

Materials:
Paper: BG - offbeat, , white card, frosted shrink plastic,
Stamps: Basic grey - offbeat - different strokes, offbeat - farmer's market,
Die's: Sizzix - keys, Corner rounder,
Ink: Colourbox Q's, Adirondack light - cloudy blue,

Limited Supplies Challenge #1 - Only One...

This week on Stampin' Chic....is a

LIMITED SUPPLIES CHALLENGE

and its a challenging one! We challenge you to only use ONE piece of patterned paper no more, that's it just one piece of patterned paper but of course you can also use other supplies like brads, ribbons etc., you can also use plain card if you have it... in fact whatever you want as long as you use no more than ONE piece of patterned paper!

So here's my card, I have used one striped sheet which I have chopped into rectangle pieces inked the edges and arranged on the card base like a mosaic effect! For the sentiment I have stamped the scalloped border onto white card and pink card, then stamped the sentiment into the frame on the white and cut out to raise up. The scallop took ages to cut and not sure if the pick card actually tones very well with the pp, I coloured in the dots with a matching whispers pen.

The gifts have simply been stamped and cut, the cluster of flowers are assembled with gorgeous brads, and one of the flowers I have changed the colour of with one of the whispers pens, using a water brush, left to dry it gives and great variegated effect! The circle is just brads pushed through in a circle. Will have to get some PM bling and make a shiny circle! click on images to enlarge!!!

Materials:
Paper: CCSR - the big one Paper pack, PM - Hot pinks
Stamps: CCSR - stamping chic party set, CCSR - Sentiments, Papermania - sweet nothings
Ink: Colourbox Qs, Whispers brush markers,
Other: 3D foam, PM brads & pretty brads, PM - flowers

I can't wait to see what you all come up with - and don't forget to leave us a message and a link to your creation with Mr Linky so that we can pop by and admire....
