Club Anya & Friend's - Ebony preview...

Good Morning....
Well It's time for another fabulous fantastic Club Anya and Friends release preview and we have another stamp that was a digi, the one that you have also been eager to have made into rubber? Yes... It's the fabulous, wonderful Ebony :) Also if you head over to
Club Anya and Friends we have a Saturday Sketch to inspire you too...

I think the papers really inspired the direction my card went today, I thought I would try a muted vintage colour palette.
I have coloured Ebony using my copics and cut her out and layered her onto the oval from the die cut frame. I went for an oval as the sketch was so similar to the card I made yesterday I was in danger of recreating it, tee hee!

The little rose embellishment on top of the crochet flower is one I made myself using air dry clay and a push mold! I just love the effect and when it was dry I went over it with a little pearlescent acrylic paint. The sentiment is from Happy day set also released on Monday! You can click on the images for a close inspection LOL!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Basic Grey: wisteria;
Stamps: TGF: Ebony & Happy Day (release on 1st);
Ink: Memento & Archival: black; Copic: markers; Tim Holtz: Distress Inks;
Dies:Sizzix: Ornate Frame; Cuttlebug: oval;
Other: Crochet flower; Air Dry clay; sculpey push molds; pearlescent paint; 3D foam;

I keep forgetting to put the copic colours I used on my images, so hope this helps... For the....
Skin: E000,21,13 & RV10
Hair: 100, W-3, W-1
Band & Shoes: E04
Outfit: E50, Y28, B91,93,95,97
and I use my colourless Blender all over the place, tee hee.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you check out

Club Anya and Friends - March Preview...

Good Morning....

Woo Hoo Well It's time for the awesome March previews and today includes wild card Wednesday Challenge of 'embossing' brought to you by
Club Anya and Friends. We have a preview of another stamp that was a digi, the one that you have been eager to have made into rubber? Yes, Hooray it's Camille :)

I was totally inspired by the picture of Bella in my side bar.... Now it's really a very experimental card and I think it's way too dark but I HAD to try, tee hee... I stamped Camille in archival as it's waterproof and went in with my water brush using black distress inks and went to work colouring her in. When I finished the main image I created a soft background with lighter distress inks and inked the edges with my blending tool. The flourish I have stamped directly over, using a mask over Camille and heat embossed till set.

There is quite a bit of embossing on my card, the flourish, the sentiment and some dry embossing with the frame around the main image and the flourish at the top. I have inked the edges of the card to bring out the detail.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket: garden variety; Stamps: TGF: WS Camille (release on 1st); Talk Loud; Tim Holtz: Fab Flourish; Ink: Archival: black; Tim Holtz: Distress Inks; Dies: Nestabilities: label 1; MS: border punch; Other: Cuttlebug: embossing folders; embossing powder: clear; 3D foam;

Thanks for stopping by and hope you check out the teams fantastic preview samples! BiG HuGs Kim :)

Club Anya & Friends - Saturday Sketch

Hello again Friends!

It's time for another awesome Sketch Challenge brought to you by Club Anya and Friends and this week's sketch is drawn by the talented Pam...

Two posts in one day can't be bad hey? This is my first time inking up the fabulous rockstar Anya... I KNOW!!!! how fantastic is she. I went all out and gave her some super funky blue hair and embellished all over with sparkly spica glitter (you could probably see it better clicking on the thumbnail). I also used combined it with WCW challenge of paper piecing. So I only got to use my copics on her skin and hair.
And with a little artistic license and my layers went a little squiffy compared to the sketch. Finished off with large bling so they looked like big bright lights tee hee!!!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: WRMK: write out; Stamps: TGF: Rockstar Anya; Talk Loud;
Ink: Memento & Archival: black; Tim Holtz: Distress Inks; Copic: markers; spica glitter;
Dies: Nestabilities: label 1; Sizzix: tag; Other: Stones: Paperchase; grosgrain ribbon; 3D foam;

Have a WONDERFUL weekend everyone and be sure to pop over to the Club Anya and Friends blog on Monday for Monday Mania! Thanks for stopping by and your wonderful comments you sure know how to make a girl feel loved, although I am monitoring them as I've been getting quite a bit of spam... HuGs Kim :)

BasicGrey Challenges - Colour combo 4

So you've probably notice a slight change on the blog look? what do you think I've been needing a bit of a facelift for some time... I've updated a few bits and bobs but still working on a few changes as I go...
On to the important part of my post... It's time for a fun Basic Grey challenge....

and Martine has inspired us with a fabulous colour combo for Basic Grey challenges and I decided to go for a spring easter card using one of Amy's adorable baby bunny's... SOOooo CUTE!!!
I have coloured with my copics and used my blender to really wash the shadow around the bunny! With nib to nib technique (if that makes sense). The tail I have finished with a little fun flock, well..... it just HAD to be done tee hee.
So, instead of grass I went for a little flower garden with some fluttering butterflies!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: BG: urban prairie; textured cardstock;
Stamps: Sweet November: Babybunnychick; sentiment;
Ink: Printer; black; Copic: markers;
Die's: Sizzix: branch & Flower's; Nestabilities: Label;
MS: border & butterfly punches;
Other: adhesive stones; fun flock; John Lewis: ribbon; 3D foam;

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back later with a card I've created for the fabulous sketch over at Club Anya and Friends blog...
BiG HuGs have a wonderful fun weekend!!! Kim :)

Stampin' Chic - Emboss Resist Technique...

It's time for Stampin' Chic technique challenge... and one of my favourites too - Resist embossing...

Well I love this technique although it's a little hard to see, the shop front has been heat embossed with clear powder using green ink and heat set. I went straight over with 'direct to paper' using my white chalk ink, then buffed it slightly into the paper. The frame and sentiment underwent the same treatment and I used the maroon ink but it didn't quite match Clare's paper so I went over it with my whispers pen,

Products used: Stamps: Papermania (TM) CCSR retail therapy, Quickutz(TM) frame, Cardstock/paper: Papermania(TM) CCSR The Big One Stack, textured cardstock,
Ink: Colourbox Queues, Whispers(TM) Marker's,
Embellishments: Anita's(TM) ribbon, Doodlebug design inc (TM) brad,
Tools: scallop scissors, WRMK(TM) corner rounder,
Other: Heat it up(TM) embossing powder, Stick it! (TM) 3D foam pads.

It is also with great sadness, to announce that I am stepping down from the Stampin' Chic Design Team and as Clare so lovingly said I have been on this journey from the start which is a whole year this month... So BiG HuGs to the wonderful team and thank you, Kim :)
Hope you pop back tomorrow for my Basic Grey challenges and Club Anya Saturday Sketch :)

Wild Card Wednesday... Redwork Inspired

Good morning all and welcome, this is my second post today... yeah I KNOW!!! but just wanted to share a little challenge I set over at Club Anya and Friends Blog....
So... my WCW Challenge to you is to make a card or Creation inspired by REDWORK...

A little Redwork history and information

Inspiring
Red work images...

I wanted to show a few samples so that you don't need to get your needle and thread out straight away... The real inspiration is the red and white combo, the clean the simple effect this creates...

Here I have simply stamped the image in red ink and cut out,

Close inspection...

Here I have stamped the image and heat set with red embossing powder;

Close inspection...

Here I tried some faux stitching and pierced the stamped outline with my pokey tool;
Hope you can see the holes...

Now for this one I really went to town, and here's a wonderful site with patterns and sewing instructions (now I only wish I had some red thread before hand and didn't need to ink up some natural thread and have red fingers to boot, ROTFL!!!)

At close look you might see I went for a 'back stitch' where a 'stem stitch' is much more common but as I wasn't working with fabric I didn't want the card to rip. I also tried some french knots for her cute lips.

I hope you feel inspired to try something different and also to say that you can create redwork in many colour's it's about having some FUN.... If you would love to play along then enter your fabulous creation in the Wild Card Wednesday galleria :)

Supplies(from top to bottom): Patterned Paper: MME: laundry line; PTI: Kraft; Stamps: TGF: WS - Gigi; Ruby; Chelsea; Stella; Ink: Stampin up: real red; Tim Holtz: Distress Inks; White acrylic paint; Die's: Nestabilities: Labels 1; Other: needle and Thread; adhesive gems; Foof a la: buttons; grosgrain ribbon; Lace; 3D foam;

Basic Grey Challenges - Sketch and Copic Creations.

Now onto my second post today... phew, please scroll down to see my Craft Stamper magazine post too :)
Well Martine has provided us with a fabulous sketch for Basic Grey challenges and I decided to combine my card with the Copic Creation challenge #21 feather Blending too...
Amy has wow'd us again with her magical pen skills and I could not resist her adorable sprite called Darby!!!
So, realised I feather blend my copic markers for nearly all my character's hair so found this quite an easy technique. I wanted a soft fairytale like colour scheme although I think it's VERY on the pink side... I blended the colours on her dress, (as I couldn't find my masking fluid I went over the dots with my colourless blender) her sprite boots and the little flower.
Also I have given my little sprite a generous spraying of glimmer mist as you can NEVER have enough spritely glittery magic, tee hee! You can probably see it better by clicking on the close up!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: BG: Porcelain; PTI: Kraft; Stamps: Sweet November: Darby; PTI: sentiment; Ink: Printer; Archival: black; Copic: markers; Tattered Angels: glimmer mist; Die's: Sizzix: Flower dasiy's; frame; Cuttlebug: scallop circle; Other: Zva: adhesive pearls; BG: buttons; Foof a la: buttons; John Lewis: ribbon; Lace; 3D foam;
Thanks for stopping by and hoping to have more to post Monday, if you have the chance there's a fabulous sketch over at Club Anya and Friends blog too... BiG HuGs have a wonderful fun weekend!!! Kim :)
