Claudia & Company Preview...

OK, I had posted the pictures with the rest of my post, scheduled for today and somehow they had disappeared tut tut tut blogger!!!

Let me try again...We thought we would show a few sneak peeks of the upcoming Claudia & Company winter release...

 Here's the adorable puddle jumper ~ Winter Ella,

I wish the pictures would show just how sparkly everything is, I have sprayed the patterned papers with glimmer mist, applied a very generous amount of stickles to the tree and ground! Ella comes with the fab sentiment and the cutest little penguin!!!

Next is Party time Piper,

I love her pretty party dress and coloured to co-ordinate with the papers!
A bit of gold and red polka dots, she also has a gift and sentiment!

Now I hope you get time to have a look at the other stunning creations from the rest of the team,

BiG HuGs, Kim :)

SSS & Show... Something SPOoooOKY!!!

It's Monday and this week
Simon Says Stamp and Show...

Something SPOOKY

I decided to make a coffin shaped treat box from gorgeous Graphic 45 HALLOWEEN IN WONDERLAND  papers. Decorated the top with a small skeleton.

My spooky tag was created by inking some glossy card with distress inks, heat embossing the forgotten garden image from Tim Holtz URBAN TAPESTRY stamps. Then I sanded the background to distress it.

Using the spider from Wendy Vecchi BOTANICAL ART stamp as the starting point for the web, which I hand drew with WHITE INKSSENTIAL PEN. I then blended rusty hinge distress ink all over the tag to give a spooky glow and finished with red adhesive gem.

I hope it inspires and do check out the rest of the teams spookay creations!

Thanks for stopping by have a wonderfully creative day

Simon Says Stamp & Show ~ but NOT a card!

It's Monday and this week
Simon Says Stamp and Show your...

Anything But Not A Card!!

So, I have been playing and learning exciting things to do with my ranger meltpot... I wanted to try the fun technique from the ranger website showing altered grungeboard with Adirondack paint and perfect pearls! I have applied this to the mini pocket notebook,

I have embellished the front with a beeswax shape created using a push mould. I've made a matchbox to house the note book and decorated with ribbon, a tattered florals flower which I have encased each layer in clear UTEE my first, using my meltpot.

The sentiment is a Wendy Vecchi and I added a grungeboard swirl coloured with distress ink.

I hope you are inspired and check out the rest of the teams stunning metal creations!

Thanks for stopping by have a wonderfully creative day BiG HuGs Kim :)

BasicGrey Challenges: Challenge 31 ~ Autumn/Harvest Time

So, I'm very late posting my BasicGrey team make,
my computer is banjaxed, the other day my darling 2 yr old, Maoleidigh, decided to tip a huge glass of water over my keyboard with lots of "shocked" shouty noises (you know those non swear words) and after a frantic contorted hairdryer action...  all the very important keys still don't type... seriously couldn't even type my name, sign onto blogger. anything!

I'm on my Fiance's laptop now, managed to track down a new keyboard to replace mine and fingers crossed that's all the damage done, not sure I can fix all the other bits and bobs... so I still have to try and edit my photos on my broken computer because OH doesn't have anything cool like that on his and then transfer them through this one. Phew exhausted!!!

The Theme this week over at Basic Grey Challenges is

I have stamped the laves and heat embossed with clear powder, inked  with distress inks to create a resist.
The leaves are die cut, as is the label for the sentiment, a couple of basic grey buttons and twine!

If you get the chance why not stop by the rest of the teams fabulous autumnal creations :)

Thanks so much for stopping by hope you have a creative day

Simon Says Stamp & Show your.... METAL!

It's Monday and this week
Simon Says Stamp and Show your...

METAL!

A few things inspired my piece, I have some metal vintage clock work bits which reminded me of mechanics, Tim Burton's film nine and the whole steampunk genre.

So I have tried to create faux metal with scraps, yes all the grungepaper scraps from die cutting... pieces form Caged bird die has some fabulous negative shapes, as does the elegant flourishes and there's a piece from the centre of heart wings. I took a picture to show that they were indeed scraps LOL!!!

I HAD to use some of Wendy's Art Parts... the back panel I have adhered a scrap of diet coke can...I had my OH bring me an empty from work usually I don't drink fizzy drinks (unless it's the type in bottles LOL!) The front frame I have inked with distress inks, it takes the colour soooo well yum!

I then placed, planned and layered each piece before inking with Distress inks (I was going for a copper colour but think it's a bit more rusty then I first envisaged!!!) attached a few mini fastener's they're just perfect for this and sanded all the edges to give an aged metal look.

 After adhering each piece with faux rivets and holes I brushed on a little gold and copper perfect pearls Not that you can see it in any of the pictures... Then, I attached a metal corner and D ring for hanging!!!

I hope you are inspired and check out the rest of the teams stunning metal creations!

Thanks for stopping by have a wonderfully creative day BiG HuGs Kim :)

Claudia & Company October Challenge

Welcome to Claudia and Company Challenge #5 and this month we have
a little Recipe: The Color ORANGE, BUTTONS and RIBBON...
 I opted for the adorable Cowboy McCoy and I wanted to try a watercolour effect using my copics,
not sure if it works, but certainly fun trying :)
I have stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured in copics. The edges have been distressed and I've tinted with a little distress ink too! Now, for the zigzag I have peirced the paper using the WRMK sew easy embosser thingy although it came out quite thin on this thick paper I still managed to hand stitch with some orange thread.

 Supplies: Patterned Paper: WRMK textured cardstock; watercolor paper;
Stamps: C&Co puddle jumper: Cowboy McCoy;
Ink: Memento: black; Copic: markers(as pictured);
Ranger: distress inks: antique linen;
Other: WRMK sew easy; orange embroidery thread; BG: buttons; wooden button; natural webbing ribbon; 3D foam;

Hope you have fun looking at the ladies wonderful creations too

Simon Says Stamp & Show us your Numbers!!!

This week over at Simon Says Stamp and Show our theme to inspire is... NUMBERS!

And we have a wonderful prize... of a $25 gift voucher..... donated by our wonderful site sponsor Simon Says Stamp
Please forgive my extreme lateness in posting my make I have been unwell all weekend and with the little ones on tow I'm sooooo slow at managing anything routinely!!!
After pondering what I could do to incorporate numbers I started to see them in numerous stamps and items! Lots of Wendy's Vecchi Stamps include numbers... like her Dimensional Rose art which is the background under the clear embossed leaves.
Nature's art sentiment says the number one by one which has been stamped onto a ticket which also has numbers LOL! Even the wonderful butterfly from Botanical art has numbers in its pattern.
Then to include even more numbers I covered grungepaper with Tim Holtz tissue tape and stamped flowers from live and make art in coffee archival ink before cutting and inking with distress ink. Then finished off with a bingo game piece <~ more numbers)

I hope you are inspired and check out the rest of the teams stunning creations!
