Christmas is coming...

Thanks for joining me...

Here's a card I created for the current paperbabe stamps anything goes challenge...

I created a one layer mixed media Christmas card.

I began with the background first, using tattered rose and iced spruce distress inks, then stamped reindeer fusions deer words along with the Peaceful Flurries flakes. Heat embossed a few snowflakes in white embossing powder and Stamped the reindeer in ecoline water brushes and spritz to get a soft inky bleed.

Then I added the Sparkle Bright sentiment heat embossed on acetate.

You Are Magical ~ Seventies Vibe

 Thanks for joining me...

Here's a magical doll card for the current paperbabe stamps anything goes challenge...

I had a total flashback to the seventies with my card, so as I was clearing a space to create and while putting bits away I got completely distracted by my paper stash and so when I rediscovered this vintage nonsense stack by WeR Memory Keepers well the rest just evolved from there.
I've used the doll body for the torso and the extra hole pieces I kept aside for flower centres. On Bristol watercolour card I cut the 3/4 view right head die and torso, then I've inked with ripe persimmon, crushed olive, and speckled egg distress oxides, next I stamped the face with the same distress inks and spritzed with water to get a nice inky look. I then went in with the face stamp again in black ink and defined a few areas with a paint brush and added a few details with the stamps from the hands set.
Her hair was so fun to create using the Willow template, cut out in brown cardstock and covered in super cute flowers, using the Potpourri die in matching cardstock, some of the centres were from the set and a few were from the body die.
I finished off the card with the Handwritten Stamp Set in white embossing on acetate as I didn't want to cover the rainbow. I had a couple of these go in the bin as I had a few issues with the double sided black foam sheets shifting in the die cutting machine.

I would love to enter my make in these challenges...

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Hello and thanks for visiting, we have a new challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog,
a fun anything goes...

I've created this single layer card front, using the dinky collection.
I decided to extend the long loose wave hair to flood the bottom area and create flowing hair. I wanted a solid area and painted in matt black acrylic.
The female face dinky stamp set to coordinate and coloured in watercolours. I've simply given an impression of a top, with a V-neck.
There is plenty of room for a sentiment of maybe even a galaxy effect on her dark hair.

Dotty about Hair

Hello everyone!!!
Hope you're keeping well and safe...
just to mention there is still plenty of time to take part in our current

I thought I would create a very rainbow coloured card, inspired by the rainbow of flowers, adding lots of dots with the polka stencil
I've combined two hairstyles to create this one, the fringe from the rag tails with the volumptuous waves from this template set, framing the 3/4 view face.
I thought the clasped hand would be perfect to hold the cutie bear balloon, created using this old Adorimals stamp set.
I love the contrast of real skin to the cartoon hair, so fun :) I've used distress oxides for the background, love that the templates help to mask her.
copic colours, because I forgot the photo..

Paperbabe stamps Challenges #117 ~ Sketch ~ Tiny Book

Good morning I'm here to share my project for our current challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog...

I created this teenie tiny accordion book, using the Eileen Hulls cute tiny book die, I've added lots of texture to the cover with some yummy cream paste through the cross hatch stencil onto some cream kraft card.
I then painted the whole cover in black paint and dry brushed some acrylics and added a hint of copper wax to give a smidgen more interest.
The front image has a pair of hands, which I coloured in copics, holding or sharing a rainbow of love, using an old stamp set for the rainbow. I added a layer of liquid wax first time I've tried this stuff, I think it's fab. The thicker layers seem to create interesting cracks, giving it a wonderful aged look.
The inside is waiting for me... I used the longest side of an A3 and trimmed it down to the height of the book and scored to concertina the cardstock into the width of the book cover. Whats left is a little tab length that I adhered to the inside covers and painted it black to disappear into the inside cover(if that makes sense?) then I added a second to the other side.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #114 ~ Anything Goes

Good morning,
Popping by to share my project for our current anything goes challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog...
I challenged myself to a restricted palette and created this layered paper piece.
Not gonna lie it took some time, I would stamp and colour in watching tv with kiddies, then fussy cut everything too. I've used the flourishing hair as flourishing tendrils, stamped in victorian velvet oxide and fussy cut leaving a border.
I have stamped the dinky female faces portrait and 3/4 view, in pumice stone oxides and coloured using pink and red colouring pencils, with a little purple for shadows. As you can see I've only used the fringes from the wavy bunches and the rag tails mixed media templates to frame their faces.
I very lightly drew a heart shape in pencil and stamped a whole lot of blossoms using the same method as their faces, I only fussy cut a few individual flowers and kept bigger clusters to make the layering a little easier.
I added as many of the dinky hands as I could.
The flourish and grow stamp set can be found amongst the background and all stuck onto an ornate frame substrate.

I am pleased to be able to join these lovely challenges...
