A Mystery Monday

Over at Club Anya and Friend's we have a new Monday challenge... where we 'case' cards from the Galleria...

This week we are also previewing some Halloween digi's, available from TGF on 15th September, here I've used Halloween witch.
Now I had trouble with my printer over the weekend and no matter how many 'new' black ink cartridges I put in, the black ink will not print! Arghhhh! SO it only prints with the colours which turns the images into a sepia outline, I just had to go with it and although it was a little tricky to colour I quite like the result!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Graphic 45: Halloween in Wonderland;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: Halloween witch;
Ink: printer; Copic: markers*; Ranger: distress inks: vintage photo;
Other: WRMK: trims; Bazzill Basic: jewel templates; Viva decor: pearl pen; 3D foam;

Thanks for stopping by I hope you stop by to see the rest of the teams awesome previews!

Monkey Case

I love this card here by Nichole Heady, she designs the best stamps and I got myself a few sets before Maoleidigh was born and haven't had much chance to use them! So I cased it but with a few Kim differences!

After I stamped the branches I added some glaze pen to create really shiny berries click the picture to get a close up. I used a different sentiment, that I embossed. The gap in the trees was just calling for the monkey so he's in!

Two DCM Dares....

Hide and Seek

Okay, for my dare we're heading to the playground for a game of

Hide & Seek

I'd like you to make a card which has a hidden component of some sort.The hidden part could be a tag, a concealed photo, message or something along those lines, maybe a pull-out or pop-up.Anything goes as long as there's something extra for the recipient to find on your card that's not immediately visible when they open the envelope.

I really enjoyed this dare, very challenging but it worked so well...

I was inspired by a card on Lynne's Blog while browsing and the tutorial on Beate's link on the right of a surprise pop-up which goes with this dare perfectly.

I stamped and embossed the dress onto vellum and cut, then glued only the top and two edges to adhere in a 3d way so it's without silicone or pads. Very pleased with how this came out.

I tried to make the card front look normal so that the ribbon is the only give away that there's a surprise. Beate's tutorial was very informative and it's really nice to make a card with a difference!

Then another card thanks to the talented Lynne....

Our Mid Week Tribute !

Hello everyone !

Now, as you are probably aware, both Lynne and Gillian sadly stepped down from the Design team recently, and all though the DCM team's door is always open for them, we thought it would be nice to pay a little tribute to them in appreciation for all their wonderful work during their time on the DCM design team. Lythan came up with an idea that we make a card in the 'style' of either Lynne or Gillian's cards. Or maybe pick your favourite of theirs and use an element from their cards on your own card. Everyone has their own style- we thought it might be a little challenge to try out a different style for a change!

Cup Cake Case

I Did a case from one Lynne created here Mine looks exactly the same now I see it again, it was just that I had the same die and wanted t use it!

I don't have my sewing machine available and did faux stitching instead I also used different papers & sentiments!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Sorry

For Your Loss

It's such a sad reason to make a card and in fact this is the first one I have ever made. I cased a fellow stamper because I loved the way she used the tree stamp. Check out LovinTX it's beautiful. I just had to case it thank you!

I received my Lovely as a Tree stamp set yesterday I have been admiring it for ages it's a beautiful set. I cut a rectangle from thin paper and placed over card and secured with masking tape. I then applied the tree several times with Versamark and used with different colour blending chalks to give a soft misty look.

The Main tree was stamped using my pigment pens and I softened the ground with water brush. I have no suitable sentiment's in my stash for this sort of card so I hand wrote sorry and I have a little prayer for the inside. Thanks for looking!
