Roaring into the Third Anya Preview...

Good Morning today we are previewing ANOTHER new ANYA from The Greeting Farm! Introducing.....FLAPPER ANYA. This cutie is our third in the "Anya: Through the Years" series along with Hippie Anya and 80's Anya. She is a LIMITED EDITION stamp and will be released on Sunday, the 15th! Yay!

Well I just HAD to embellish this gorgeous Flapper Anya with a bit of glitz and bling. Her head band and dress I have heated silver embossing powder directly onto glitter card. Then cut out, as with the tassels and feather I used an embossing pen to add powder to these small pieces. Phew lots of fun! the embossing comes off a little, might need different ink!
I used Kazan's sketch 39 fantastic to inspire my card... just love this ribbon and I had to have another yummy button, with pearl top pin's too! The sentiment says bubbly, but it's a little hard to see.

Hiiii Ya!!! First Anya preview...

Wow Whee... Today we have a preview of KARATE Anya and Ian, two SUPER cute new digis which marks only the first day of an entire week of PREVIEWS over on the Club Anya blog which is so exciting, not sure I can stand all this cuteness...can you? These two cuties will be released as Digistamps and will be available on the 15th!

and hope you mark your calendars for that day too... as we are having a Blog... "SPA Hop"! We could all use some extra pampering this time of year as we prepare for the holiday festivities (only 46 shopping days) and sure we could all use a little de-stressing! Our 'CLUB ANYA SPA HOP' will take place on Sunday, Nov 15th from 12am(6am UK time) to 8pm CST (2am UK time). Ooooh and each DT member will have a little goodie to give away, so be sure to join in on the fun!

I just had to slide this little guy into a Hiiii Ya kick. Very simple construction, I just made an L shaped ribbon pull from kraft card and cut a slit in the circle so Ian can attach to the front. The adhesive foam on the back of Ian I have kept a few with their protective backing on, to maintain depth that's not sticky.

I chose these colours, inspired from my little boy's self defence uniform, too cute!!! I really need to get a refill for some of my hair colour looks a bit dry brushed now. I drew around my nestability shape and cut out to get the black mount as this was the largest die in the set. The 'Hiiii Ya' are die cut letters and the sentiment is part of a new set also released on the 15th.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: sassafras: amplify; PTI: kraft; Stamps: TGF: Digi Karate Anya and Ian (release 15th) Ink: Archival: Black; Copic: markers; Dies: Nestabilities: label; circles; Sizzix: alphabet; Other: 3D foam;

Well, thanks again for stopping by and be sure to head over to the Club Anya blog to see some of the cutest kickers on the Farm...and be sure to leave a comment there too.. because a lucky winner will be getting those digis tomorrow! GOOD LUCK! and Big Happy HuGs Kim :)

Fidget Goblinspider with Posh Designs

Well, sweet sweet Amy has designed these super fabulous Sweet November Fairies. I just HAD to have them and I was all prepared to purchase the rubber at all that scraps and noticed they have them as a digi, so after a quick download, printed a page and all ready to colour. I happened to print them a bit large, although even more enjoyable to colour. LOL!!!

We have so much exciting and gorgeous new releases to showcase next week from The Greeting farm and I just wanted to get a fun card done so... I used the fabulous sketch from Posh Design Scrapbook Store's first challenge, thank you Dawn for inviting me.

I really wanted super patterned and but in the end decided to tone the background paper down. Doesn't this fairy look sweet and cheeky? I definitely need to practice colouring the hair on the larger scale but still had so much fun. I hope you can see the subtle sparkle of her fairy hair? That Spica marker is fabulous!!! You can see it clearer clicking on the small thumbnail.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: sassafras: sweet marmalade; Stamps: Sweet November: Fidget Goblinspider DIGI; American Crafts: sentiment; Ink: My Printer; Archival: Black; Copic: markers; spica glitter; Die's: Nestabilities: label1; long rectangles; Other: adhesive stone ; 3D foam;

So onto more fabulous news the lovely Yanitza liked my little Ian tutorial so much she has gone and plastered it all over the Inspirational tips, techniques & tutorials Tee Hee! How marvelous is that? thank you so much I feel very honoured and so pleased of course that you enjoyed my tutorial. (((HuGs))) click picture to go directly to the post...

And some more news to end with... I am like a little girl with countdowning to Christmas but... it's the NEC exhibition, I'm so excited to be meeting up with my lovely blogging and design team buddies! SO if anyone notices me with my frazzled craft hair tomorrow with dazed look from so much craft goodies then do pop over and nudge me (or holler in my ear) it would be great to meet you too!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and looking forward to the preview week at Club Anya Woo Hoo!!! HuGs Kim :)

A penny for the Guy?

I have only just his morning used the fabulous my guy Ian set (tut tut) but thought I would give a little demo on the Club Anya Blog of some dimensional paper piecing, which is just so effect and pretty quick to achieve.

I start by stamping Ian on patterned paper then two times onto plain stamping card stock. (you will need to stamp an extra hand on a little scrap paper). Then the top half of Ian twice onto patterned paper. Now it's time to colour... the parts of Ian that will be seen and not covered by patterned paper I have coloured with my copics. I have then very roughly coloured the edges for the parts of Ian that will be covered with patterned papers. In the picture I have tried to show the layers from left to right and how each layer will have a different element either coloured, paper pieced or cut away.

Now I apply dimensional adhesive foam to the back of each piece, I use a 1mm foam tape so the finished piece won't be too high and dense. On the hoody top I have applied a little glue to the shoulders to give a greater dimension to the waist.

So time for the fun part of applying each piece in place to create a completed dimensional Ian. If you have more time you could curve the paper pieces a little to add further dimension.

Also wanted to add that as I used memento die ink on the patterned papers I can go in with my copics to shade in the darker areas like under his chin and arms and hood. You can click on any of the photos for a close up!!!

I thought I would try Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge #46, my first go too and a fabulous Greeting farm teamy. Although I haven't followed to the sketch fully, due to my guy Ian just being so wonderfully tall, he would stretch passed the oval edge... tee hee!

I really don't need to say much as the tutorial is above... phew! although you won't need me to mention I love the fun paper!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: sassafras: Monstrosity; white cardstock; Stamps: The Greeting Farm: My Guy Ian; Ink: Copic markers: various; Memento: Black; Die's: Nestabilities: long rectangles; EK success: border punch; Other: BG: buttons; natural thread; 1mm/2mm adhesive foam;
Thanks for stopping by, I have a ton of catching up to do with all your lovely comments, so bear with me. I wish each and everyone a wonderful bonfire night! Be super, super safe and light a sparkler for me!!! Happy HuGs Kim :)
