Wow!!! so much to Share and ICS #21

Where do I begin?...... Firstly I feel so honoured that Kazan and Laura at 2 Sketches 4 You picked my card for the card of the week I can't quite believe it, and am over the moon!!!

Now technology is out to get me this month... first my telephone line down, which meant two weeks without Internet access and now I am having some trouble with my hotmail account and I am appealing to you all here to say I'm very sorry if you've received some unusual emails from me, it appears that my contacts list has been violated and Hotmail abuse team have currently ceased my account until the problem is solved. I hope this hasn't effected anyone and I can only hope they will sort it soon. Seems nothings really very safe but you're all very welcome to contact me at kimpaperbabe@yahoo.com and if anyone has sent me an email to my hotmail address since last week I'm afraid I am unable to read or reply to you, very sorry.

So onto my DT card this week for Inspirational Card Sketches....

Another fantastic sketch by the talented Dawn to challenge the mojo, well I was very inspired by Leandra's feature in this months Craft Stamper and just had to give it a go.

The sheet metal I have is self adhesive and so the embossing isn't as detailed as I would have liked. I had to de-tack the adhesive side with my stamp buddy. I'm pleased with the result and really enjoyed it. I have embellished mine with a vintage RubOn, how adorable are these two little ones? So thought the message went well LOL! Used October afternoon's fabulous papers again as wanted it quite fun and bright.

2Sketches4You - Kazan Sketch #28

Well, I haven't had a go at one of Kazan or Laura's sketches for a while now and thought I would create a card this week using Kazan's sketch 28, they are offering some amazing blog candy in their ultimate card showdown competition, pop on over to 2 Sketches 4 You and check them out!

I couldn't resist these super cute October afternoon papers and stamps how adorable is that Duck and the butterfly too! I hope the little five year old will enjoy this card as much as I made it, LOL! A few details to share is how easy it was to colour the glitter paper to co-ordinate with the images using my copic marker. The images have been stamped, coloured and all hand cut. The girl's initial has been cut from fun foam, and embellished with a touch of bling.

ICS #20

Pop over to Inspirational Card Sketches.... there's another fabulous sketch designed by the very lovely Dawn it will hopefully inspire you, as it did me.
Our sponsor this week is a BRAND NEW company that was started by Melyssa Connolly. She has started Whimsie Doodles, a digital stamp and cutting file store, on etsy. If you stop by Melyssa's blog, you can find out about her Design Team Call!!!!
So using one of her adorable digi stamps I thought would be great for some dimensional paper piecing. I have printed the turtle onto three patterned papers and a plain white. I have then cut each section out and inked the edges and placed in position with dimensional foam. I have completed the turtle with some very much loved stickles glitter. The flame on the "Make a Wish" I have cut, raised and embellished with a little more glitter, LOL!

Pop out Scene... Stampin Chic's

The Technique challenge this week over at Stampin Chics Blog was to try a Pop up....
Make you creation interactive and give someone a surprise as they open it up! Don't forget that you need to use at least 1 item from the CCSR range...

I'm a little late posting mine but here is the front of my card and have let the yummy busy paper do it's thang!!!

So onto the inside, this is what will be revealed when you open it, Don't think I'm lazy either for not colouring in (as you will know I Ycolouring) I was following an idea!!! got totally inspired to create a scene using cutouts like they do for the very famous Paddington Bear children's program. So I went to work and drew the bench, grass and trees, I used Clare's fabulous stamps for the rest of the scene! Then cut it all out and assembled so that it would lay flat when the card was closed. The Characters in Paddington Bear are always coloured in so I paper pieced the Chic with the patterned papers and coloured with my whispers pens.

Products used:
Papers: White card, WRMK - nonsense, Core'dinations,Stamps: CCSR - Doodles set, Sentiments, Stampin Chic Party, Jesse Edwards,Ink: Clearsnap - Queues Fluid ink, Vivid - Black, Whispers brush pens,Other: PM - flowers, brads, 3d foam, circle punches,

Well I hope you get the chance to have a go It was great fun and challenging, take a look at the rest of the Team they created some fantastic examples, HuGs Kim YThanks for stopping by...

I'M BACK!!!! online and lots to catch up on!!!

As you may know I haven't had a working telephone line for two weeks (arrhhh!).... well It's back "ON!!!" You know, I skipped and danced about and even Maoleidigh could tell something good was going on, until of course I tried to go online and alas it took a further three days for that bit to work (thanks to Nigel who pressed the right button)... turns out they had changed the old lines underground to new fab ones, it took a lot of Telecoms staff down the hole to fix that problem (I could see them from my window), I don't think I was the only one without :( But here I am back online and a lot to catch up on...

so... this is my late Design team card for Inspirational Card Sketches....
Wow this is soooo Late on my blog, sorry Dawn....

This sketch designed by the very lovely Dawn will hopefully inspire you, as it did me.

Loving this Cosmo Cricket paper and with my new Greeting Farm Anya stamps "they're so adorable". I even tried my hand and stitching on my paper. Very pleased with the result will certainly give it another go!

I have coloured the beautiful Anya with my copics directly onto some patterned paper, it's a very subtle colour difference. I particularly like this one as her eyes are open and as always is the case it rains alot here in blighty! so her umbrella very fitting!

Materials: Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Die's: Nestabilties, Fiskars - Apron Lace, Sizzix - flower layers, Stamps: TGF - Rain Anya, CHF - Kim Hughes -'Scripty words', Hero Arts - floral, Ink: Archival Ink - black, memnto - black, copic sketch, Other: Adhesive pearls, Lace, adhesive bling, 3D foam, needle and thread,
