Simon Says Stamp & Show ~ Something Shabby!!!

Can't believe it's November already, wow comes round so quickly and appears myself and blogger are just not getting on, I'm a bit late with my post this Monday and the challenge over at
Simon Says Stamp and Show is...

Something Shabby

I used Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby papers as the base for my shabby card. I then stamped the stunning corner stamp from Prima Flowers Clear Stamps BUILD A BAUBLE and used STAMP & BOND adhesive powder before applying metal flakes.

So like most projects I then created a few flowers from Tim Holtz TATTERED FLORALS Alterations using some buckram (modelling muslin) to make a rose, grungepaper and coloured with Distress inks. The grungepaper hinge has been treated with a little distress embossing powder.

Wendy's sentiment I have stamped in distress ink for a more subtle colour. I added a metal bird charm which was inked with a little white paint, added some idea-ology foliage, prima lace and embellished with quite a few adhesive stones.

Hope it inspires and here's the rest of the teams shabby creations!

  4. Holy moly, Kim, you totally ROCKED this challenge with your shabbilicious creation. Such a gorgeous collection of elements. Great use of that Prima stamp. I have that set and hardly ever use it so maybe you have inspired me! Plus you have introduced me to two products - buckram and metal flakes. I really, really love how you have your lace peaking out from behind the torn paper!
