Basic Grey challenges

Hello and hope you're having a wonderful Saturday... I'm a bit late posting my Basic Grey Challenge card... managed to actually get a lie in (which always has to be taken up LOL)! We have a wonderful colour challenge to inspire you...

This was a wonderfully quick card to make and might make a few more for those extra visitors over the coming holidays. As the colours are quite soft I went for a shabby chic card. The bauble I have stamped directly onto pink paper and the decorative band is in a blue it just looks a little silvery. I have gone over the band with my spica glitter pen. I have inked up the embossed card so it looks more cream coloured. The leaves are die cut from BG paper and embellished with ribbon and button. Click the images for a close up...

Supplies: Patterned Paper: BasicGrey: nook&pantry; sugared; eskimo kisses; Stamps: PTI: vintage ornaments; Ink: Adirondack: lights; Tim Holtz: Distress Inks; Copic: spica markers; Dies: Sizzix: leaves; Cuttlebug: embossing folder; MS: border punch; Other: Offray: ribbon; BG: button; natural thread; 3D foam;

This weeks challenge will be the last until the new year as BasicGrey Challenges will be taking a break over Christmas, so that means that you have a few extra weeks to take part :), the new challenge will be posted on the 9th of January so be sure to pop back then :)
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're enjoying all your holiday shopping today! HuGs Kim :)

  1. This is stunning, Kim! So soft and pretty...love the big bauble and the leaves too...well, I love it all! Just gorgeous!
    Glad you had a lie in, cuz I am sure it is a busy time and I'm sure the kidos are excited for Santa! Hannah is 10 now and she has been asking me the tough questions about Santa but he sent a reply to her letter and so she has decided to still believe, smile!
