Ouch still no telephone but I am trying to keep you all updated with my design team makes and hopefully will be back on track in a few days! This sketch designed by the very lovely Dawn will hopefully inspire you, find it at Inspirational Card Sketches....

I'm sure you know by now how experimental I can be and with out my telephone I've just a little more time for more fun with trying new things, LOL! I have embellished with little stickles to give a subtle sparkle and cut out, fixed in place with fabulous clear foam.
The rest is as simple as it looks and the papers just ooze yumminess, as does this gorgeous velvet ribbon! If you want to have a close look at the texture from the embossing just click on one of the images.

This Tuesday the very lovely Dawn brings you a fantastic sketch to inspire you, from Inspirational Card Sketches....
I thought I would try one of Dustin Pike's Fabulous designs, I printed onto cotton rag artists paper and coloured with my copic markers! The little addition is the stamp on the shield... it's one of BG boxer stamps. While the stamps were handy I also created a dimensional Rosette with paper piecing and glazed brad.

I have added a banner created with border punch and stamped onto the dp. Finished with a few rub ons and more stamping...

Chocolate & Pistachio.....

The challenge on the BasicGrey blog this week is you favourite ice cream flavour...
My love for Chocolate & Pistachio ice cream is from a Greek restaurant I used to work in as a student, myself and a friend could be found sharing a beach comber before our shift...mmmmmm delish!!! But we always worked it off by dancing the Zorba about four or five times a night for the customers, LOL! My other all time favourite is Vanilla and I love the clotted cream variety! So my card combines all three... using the divine Porcelain papers!

Thought it was about time I actually used one of my own images LOL! I have printed this image onto my usual stamping card, I managed to get four on one sheet which is great! I have coloured her using my ice cream flavour inspired copics. I used a long rectangle to cut to look a bit like a panoramic shot. You can find this FREE image on this post would love to see what you create, leave me a comment and I will come and take a peek!! Click on the close ups to enlarge!!!

Paper: BG - porcelain, PTI - kraft, white card,

Little Sprout ~ Baby Card, ICS - DT...

This Tuesday from Inspirational Card Sketches brings you a fantastic sketch to inspire you, designed by the very lovely Dawn!

I got this GORGEOUS crate paper collection the other day with the super cute stamps and had to use them. Really love the different colours soft yet not very gender dominated. Although I have tended more to the blue for this baby card as it's needed for a boy.
I was so impressed with the thickness I could cut with my nesties and in one of the close ups you can really see the layers. I have stamped the sentiment and when it was dry I went over with a generous squeeze of glossy accents. I put one piece of the decorative paper through the Swiss dots E.F, and sanded lightly, then I have simply layered the other patterned papers following the sketch. Hope you didn't miss those adorable mushrooms stamped in the bottom corner!!! and click the close ups to enlarge the image.

Materials:
Paper: Crate paper, DCWV textured card,
Die's: Nesties - rectangles, Cutb'g - Dots E.F,
Stamps: Crate Paper - little sprout,
Ink: Colourbox queues,
Other: Glossy accents, natural ribbon & string, bg - buttons, double sided adhesive sheet, 3D foam,

Hope you get the chance to have a go looking forward to seeing your inspirations, thanks for stopping by, HuGs Kim x

BasicGrey Challenge - #34

The challenge is up on the BasicGrey blog and this weeks it's time to follow Anthea's Great Sketch...

This is a little feel good card for Dillon just to say an Angel watches over him. So a lot less bling then I would have probably gone for otherwise. The wisteria paper was the inspiration behind the way I have coloured my angels. It reminds me of batik with the pale outlines around the flowers and the rich colours blending into each other. But I ended up covering most of the patterned paper in question LOL!

I have stamped the outline in clear embossing powder and coloured using my copic markers. Done twice and raised on dimensional foam! Love the effect may have to try this on other images in my stash now!!! So don't you just Love this tree by Sizzix? (it was in their weekly sale so had to have it) I have cut with grey board covered in BG papers and an extra piece to give dimension to the tree top. I have stamped the sentiment here as for the sketch and also rubbed 'an' with white rub ons but you need to look close to see it! The backing paper was embossed with a sizzix folder. Click images for a close look!

Materials:
Paper: BG - wisteria, MM - naturals, Greyboard
Stamps: Suagr Nellie - Gorjuss Girls2, BG - too sweet,
Ink: Versamark, colourbox, copic markers,
Die's: Nestabilities, Sizzix - tree,
Other: 3D foam, BG - button, Sizzix E.F, clear ep, natural ribbon & thread.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you have a wonderful weekend,
♥ Thanks HuGs Kim x

Limited Supplies Challenge #4

Hello and welcome once again everyone!!! Can you believe its Friday? and time for me to set a new limited supplies challenge on Stampin Chic's Blog. Thanks so much to those of you who joined in with the wonderful Technique challenge last week. There were some wonderful stitched creations from all of you.

LIMITED SUPPLIES CHALLENGE is...
DIY - patterned papers
This week we're challenging you to Design or Create your own patterned papers either with stamps, doodling, inking, etc so you're limited to no commercial patterned papers, I'm sure you will create beautiful piece's... Don't forget that you have to use at least one item from Clare's Signature Range and then simply fill in your details on the Mr Linky box so that we can go over to your blog to see your projects. There is no prize for this challenge, it's strictly for fun this week.

Here's Mine, I loved how the main stamped paper turned out, I have simply taken a sheet of A4 copier paper (the thicker Luxury one) inked up the floral stamp in a yummy orange colourbox chalk ink and stamped the WHOLE sheet. I now have a half left for another project....

I covered my card base using my DIY paper with torn edges and added faux stitching. The other two patterned papers; I have stamped CCSR doodles with a green ink and inked around the edges and I have stamped CCSR sentiments with brown ink and inked over the edges. The sentiment is a little piece of scrap paper I have covered with the background orange ink and stamped cupcake and happy birthday in black ink.

Materials: Paper: PM - Natural earth, white copier paper, Stamps: CCSR - stamping chic party set, CCSR - doodle, CCSR - Sentiments, Papermania - floral, Ink: Colourbox Qs, Vivid - black, Other: 3D foam, PM - shimmer dots, PM - flowers, PM - gem brads, PM - felt ribbon,

Enjoy! Hope you have fun and a nice weekend, thanks for stopping by my blog, I will have my BG challenges dt card tomorrow, HuGs

ICS #15 ~ Miss you...

Fantastic sketch to inspire you this Tuesday from Inspirational Card Sketches designed by the very lovely Dawn!

This card just flowed for me I found the sketch very easy to follow and the paper just did the work for me, as is often the case!
A few details to highlight is the butterfly, simply cut and embossed in vellum and I went around the wings with an orange copic marker. The swirl I have covered recycled grey board with spotty paper and die cut. The bookplate I have used glitter paper, when I stamped the sentiment I just thought it needed a bit more and stamped directly over with the damask flourish. It's a little hard to see that I have used my palette ink pad and pressed directly onto the blue patterned paper just to tone it down a little, gives a slight texture too! Click the images for a close look!!!

Materials:
Paper: October afternoon, glitter paper & card, vellum,
Die's: Martha Stewart - mini hearts edge punch, Sizzix - flourish & hearts, bookplate, Cutb'g - flower, butterfly,
Stamps: CHF - Kim Hughes -'Scripty words', inkadinkado - damask,
Ink: Archival Ink - black, copic sketch, Adirondack lights, palette new canvas,
Other: Adhesive pearls, bg - button, double sided adhesive sheet, clear & white 3D foam,

Hope you get the chance to have a go looking forward to seeing your inspirations, thanks for stopping by, HuGs Kim x
