ATC - Swap, My First!

Just wanted to show the Atc swap we did with our blogging sister's...

This is Mine, I haven't really got into making ATC's but did enjoy such a quick make, although I had the lamb die cut just needed to finish with 3d foam and a few more layers! I've included all the things I love in crafting! Die cutting, stamping, dimension, fun flock, gems, glitter, doodling... well all of it!

And here is the beautiful one I received from Jessica, Thank you sweetie. I have to get myself some of this pretty paper... Bobunny's back to backs Anna Sophia multi floral. The details are gorgeous! I hope the photo does this justice!

Thanks for stopping by, I realise my comments is confusing at the top of the post, just under the title and I've tried to change it, but unsuccessfully. I think it's part of the layout & I might need to go through the script bit! Have a good day, baby's about to wake! HuGs Kim x

EZ Mounting

I ordered some of the beautiful stamps from Whiff of Joy, They are gorgeous and arrived ever so quickly, Thank you Katharina!
Now there are so many ways to mount unmounted stamps and I think every one has there own way but thought I would share what works for me... so here goes, I should probably try video recording soon! If you have any questions do ask, comments are at the top of my posts!
Yummy stamps arrived... so opened them
You can trim the red rubber at this stage if there's lots around the image!

I place the stamp etched side down on to the non sticky side of the EZ mount and take a pen and draw around

Then use a little sticky dots to adhere stamp to block/lid then ink up with Staz On and stamp into the drawn area!
As you can see in picture below, While the ink is drying I clean my stamp ready for the next step!

I cut the EZ mount on the pen line, you can angle your scissors ever so slightly so there's the littlest overhang!

Then take the backing off the cut EZ mount and place the red rubber in place
I have found this the neatest way to mount red rubber!

Using your fingers you can double check the image with the etching!

And I stamp on the back of EZ mount so I can get better placement of image if I need to and then I can be sure the image is the right way up too!

It's good to be able to see through your block/lid!

I store mine on a stamp ad store panel that's in a folder!

Here are the rest of the stamps mounted! Now just need to create!

If you don't like the pen on the edges it does rub off using a wet wipe!

Materials: EZ Mount, EZ storage

Ink: Pen, Staz On black,

Stamps: Whiff of Joy - Winter Charlotte with cat,

Thanks for stopping by! HuGs Kim x

DCM Winter Sketch

Getting Funky With The Funky Hand!

This week's challenge has been very kindly sponsored by Anice, the designer behind the fabulous Funky Hand - and how excited were we to be able to download one of her wonderful collections to try out for ourselves, Using THIS template/sketch.

The paper was the inspiration for the snowflakes, the wonderful image from whiff of joy, I coloured before hand, I just "had" to use my fun flock for the trim and hand warmer! I wanted to try cutting felt with my nestabilities I'm really pleased with the result... will definitely try again!

Papertake - Sketch Envelope

This weeks challenge over at Papertake weekly is another of Katharinas fab sketches #28 and this week Whiff of Joy (Katharina's stamp company) are sponsoring the challenge!

Instead of using the sketch on the card I decided to use it on the envelope, the idea for these (I managed to make six in an evening) is to be a little pocket card with a prayer inside for expectant couples!
I wanted neutral tones to suit a couple! this wood paper really is lovely for embossing I adhered it to some card first! This holds the flap of the envelope closed! I have used acetate behind the aperture to hold the embellishments!

In fishing my boyfriend just has to have the latest in new gear and he is called tackle tart, well.... in the crafting world I must be a tool tart, I just can't help but want the next new thing and I "treated" (makes buying stuff sound more acceptable!) myself to the new Sizzix movers and shapers! Very pleased with them, love how easy they are to duplicate! your designs!

Materials:
Paper: K&Co - lifes journey, wood paper, white card,
Die's: Sizzix
movers and shapers, flower layers, button, cross embossing folder, punches - foot, butterfly.

Hidden Message

I Love this card... there is so much going on with it! Lots of New things I haven't tried and as you can see I try lots of new things all at the same time all on the same card but hey! I'm pleased with the result!

I wanted a card with natural colours, and I started with this stamp and thought to use it like an artist has just sketched it! Which of course Elizabeth has but to get this look I stamped the image in versamark so the edges were soft then continued by colouring with my pastel pencils originally I wanted a more sepia look but I can't help add a little colour!

The Daisies were so much fun mainly consisting of punches and die cuts! The centre's were cut from circles using double sided adhesive sheet (LOVE) then covering with generous sprinkling of fun flock (Love, Love this stuff!) This whole card is quite tactile and very interactive!

The Hidden Message... I will have a look if there's a tutorial for this on line, it reminds me of a Jacob's ladder. (IF not I will do a tutorial, I think you should always give the unusual a try!) It's not too easy to find the extra message inside but you can easily guess where it is! I've disguised mine with a mosaic of paper, then stamped the message inside! So if you have any questions leave me a comment at the top of my posts and I will endeavour to answer the best I can!
