I have a little theory about sketches, originally I found them difficult because I found it MORE challenging to follow the sketch precisely and would often go off in my own design, and now I'm discovering that the idea of the sketch is to inspire more then challenge, so this what I did for this sketch, I turned it on it's side and used the sketch as a template to place the embellishments! I think I'm getting it!!!!
Materials:
Paper: Anyone, Anyone? Gin-X, DCWV texture stack, grey board,
Die's: Nestabilities squares, Sizzix Stars, graffiti alpha,
Stamps: Basic Grey Clear Stamp Set - Flourish Edges
Ink: Brilliance white, Colourbox chestnut roan,
Other: Tim's blending thingy, Shaped brads, glue pen, 3D foam, eyelets, crop a dile II, yummy adhesive gems.

Stamps: 'Pretty Birds' Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set from the KIM HUGHES COLLECTION, 'Lined Paper Backgrounder' Rubber Stamp, Inkadinkadoo Birds Galore, PTI Butterfly Kisses.
Ink: Versamark, Primary Colourbox, Sakura stardust pen,Other: Double sided adhesive sheet, Orange fun flock Stampendous, ribbon, Glossy accents, gromlets, flat backed gems, 3D foam.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards!!! You've got the sketch part right.. all you do is use it as a basis for your cards and use it to your advantage!! I never use a sketch 'as is' .. I always make it my own! ;)
