Sensational Sketches

Here's two cards for the Sensational Sketches challenge over on Caardvarks,

Laura from 2 Sketches 4 You sketch

I'm really pleased with this one, just love the colours in this BG collection! I was a bit experimental die cutting the letters for thanks with adhesive sheet and felt, but like the result!

Paper: PM pink vellums, white card, BG sultry, paper adventures Onyx,

Die's: Nestabilities squares, Sizzix - flower layers, alphabet,
Other: Cutb'g embossing folder, felt, double sided adhesive sheet, stitched ribbon, craft floss, flat backed gems, glossy accents, 3D foam.

Kazan from 2 Sketches 4 You sketch

I wasn't trying for a monotone card but just wanted to use the colour blue, so with the Laura Ashley paper being the starting point I went with it! I am loving these stamps by Kim Hughes they're so pretty and versatile! The background I used a tracer to create faux stitching and Tim's distresser for edges and sanded a little!

Kazan's Sketch 5

This is my creative take on the sketch that Kazan drew for this week's challenge over at 2 Sketches 4 You.

This may look like another Wedding card but it's for expectant mums, I went with the all white and so this card is about tones rather than colour, quite challenging! The senitment stamped on the vellum covers an aperture that goes all the way through! the light catches it very well!

Whiff of DT call

I made this card for the competition Whiff of Joy Guest Designer Call over on the very talented Katharina's blog and try become a guest designer for Katharina who is setting up her own stamp company called Whiff Of Joy.

This was a great sketch to work with, I started on the base with faux stitching and sanded to distress a little!

I couldn't decide whether to put ribbon on but love the BG paper so went with swirl, wanted to show it off! The image "sitting with bear" has been paper pieced, the bear has been done over with bright fun flock, the stool created with wood paper (very cool stuff), the rest finished with watercolour pencils and white gelly pen! The flower was finished with sentiment and glossy accents to create dome!

Apples and Flowers

Over on cute card Thursday is Challenge 20 ~ Things that grow! I'm quite early for posting this one or late because I had it made earlier! Well I loved it so much this is the second one, the first was a Birthday card (the sentiment bit)....

Apples and flower are both things that grow, so does the cute girl in this image! I used the pattern on the paper and followed with my scissors. I am loving this frame it's so versatile and fun! Little flowers are decorated with brads and liquid applique! I haven't captured very well in the picture but the apples are super shiny!

First of all I'd like to give a HUGE thanks to all of you who took the time to visit my blog, leave wonderful and kind comments, look at my projects and of course participating in my giveaway!
