Two DCM Dares....

Hide and Seek

Okay, for my dare we're heading to the playground for a game of

Hide & Seek

I'd like you to make a card which has a hidden component of some sort. The hidden part could be a tag, a concealed photo, message or something along those lines, maybe a pull-out or pop-up.Anything goes as long as there's something extra for the recipient to find on your card that's not immediately visible when they open the envelope.

I really enjoyed this dare, very challenging but it worked so well...

I was inspired by a card on Lynne's Blog while browsing and the tutorial on Beate's link on the right of a surprise pop-up which goes with this dare perfectly.

I stamped and embossed the dress onto vellum and cut, then glued only the top and two edges to adhere in a 3d way so it's without silicone or pads. Very pleased with how this came out.

I tried to make the card front look normal so that the ribbon is the only give away that there's a surprise. Beate's tutorial was very informative and it's really nice to make a card with a difference!

Then another card thanks to the talented Lynne....

Our Mid Week Tribute !

Hello everyone !

Now, as you are probably aware, both Lynne and Gillian sadly stepped down from the Design team recently, and all though the DCM team's door is always open for them, we thought it would be nice to pay a little tribute to them in appreciation for all their wonderful work during their time on the DCM design team. Lythan came up with an idea that we make a card in the 'style' of either Lynne or Gillian's cards. Or maybe pick your favourite of theirs and use an element from their cards on your own card. Everyone has their own style- we thought it might be a little challenge to try out a different style for a change!

Cup Cake Case

I Did a case from one Lynne created here Mine looks exactly the same now I see it again, it was just that I had the same die and wanted t use it!

I don't have my sewing machine available and did faux stitching instead I also used different papers & sentiments!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
