Jointed Paper Angel Art Doll ~ Paperbabe Stamps Challenge

Thanks for visiting...
We have a new anything goes challenge on the blog today and I created a poseable angel doll.
I started with the portrait face, and opted for the closed eye's face stamp, as it had a calm feel. Her face is complemented with the flowing Celestia Hair template.
To complete the doll I've used the Jpad bodyhands, and paper brad dies.
I drew her dress using her form to create the shape, and used the small cherry blossoms from the Flourishing hair stamp set to adorn the hems.
The layered wings I've added, also with paper brads to help them pose, are stamped from the paperangel set four times to get the layers, but they would work just as well stamped once or twice.
I added a circle acetate with glitter for her halo, simply slot between the hair layers so it would be more of a 'glow' then looking like a hat, lol.
I've used my favourite copic markers to colour everything of her in, although there is a little hint of white pen and glitter too...

and I would love to enter my project to these wonderful challenges too...

Beauty Tile ~ Paperbabe Stamps Challenge

Thanks for visiting...
We have a new anything goes challenge on the blog today
It's been an age since I had a go at shrink plastic.
I die cut a diamond shape from frosted shrink plastic then stamped the hair flourish, used the mask to stamp the cute face. I use the wrong ink for the hair the versafine clair bled quite a bit, but thankfully archival ink for the face seemed fine. I coloured her in coloured pencil.
I used a dot stencil for the background very simply drawn in pencil and coloured the dots in copic marker. I shrank the piece down, where the colours really got intense and added a hint of gold ink to the edges.
I added the tile onto the card front, coloured an mdf word blank with posca pen and cut some flowers from the wonderful vintage doll patterned paper.

Paper Cut Layered Portrait ~ Paperbabe Stamps Challenge

Hi, thanks for visiting,
We have a new challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today...
I've had the idea to create a dimensional paper cut piece for ages and using the jointed paper art doll dies and stamps made this so easy to put together. I love that you don't have to make a complete doll with these dies and stamps.
Her torso was cut using the Jointed paper art doll, body die. I then drew around the shoulders on another piece and trimmed with a little flourish to give her a layer of clothing and cover up the joint holes.
For the face I have used the Portrait head stamp and die, I've cut both the face and ears from plain cardstock, I didn't add extra layers to these I just added dimensional adhesive to create a good shadow.
Her hand was cut a few times, trimmed and layered, for example the thumb section is completely cut away with mount not that you can see that though. I created it without any stamping so it would have an unspoilt paper look.
Her hair was a little more involved though, I used the wonderful Aleesia hair template to draw the shapes, I drew the fringe four times and the back about twice. I then cut into the layers to give the impression of lots of flowing hair, trimming some completely away and adding a couple of layers behind her ears so the front wasn't too bulky.
For the face I actually stamped onto the cut face as well as stamping the features onto the back of the small pieces of coloured cardstock and  fussy cut to add some dimension to her face. You can just make out her lashes peeking under the cardstock, I wasn't going to fussy cut all of those lol.

and I would love to enter my project to these wonderful challenges too...

Sympathy Card ~ Paperbabe Stamps Challenge

Hello and welcome,
The final days of summer holidays...
and getting ready for the new academic year?

We have a new challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today...
I've created a sympathy card using the cherry blossom, and Butterfly Pieridae, adding a subtle colour in the background with a hint of blue copic marker to highlight the flowers.
The tone on tone Die cut letters I thought would be just enough of a message.

Journal Prompt Cards ~ Paperbabe Stamps Challenge

 Hello, so happy you're here,

we have a new challenge over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today,
and here's my fun very arty journal prompt cards.
I created these journal prompt cards, as part of a class with Katy a few years ago and wanted to share them here, as they are still inspiring prompts now.
You can make out quite a few of the stamped images like the smoke from bottle of, the dinky female facestarspop dots alongside a few stencils. It was fun to play with the face placement, I liked them stamped half off etc.
The prompt words were printed.
they are atc size and I have the perfect little handmade bowl to store them in.
