Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #82 ~ Theme ~ Stars

Hello, delighted you've stopped by today,
we have a new fortnightly challenge over at the Paperbabe Stamps blog...
So, I created this bowl, using airdry clay,
I sculpted the shape over a metal mixing bowl, with a reasonably thin wall.
I then pressed the lovely doodle stars into the soft clay, added a few holes as I knew I wanted to add embellishments.
When it was dry I painted the outside with fantasy moon paints, this is my first time trying this medium, quite a fun challenge.
I've painted a few layers of gold acrylics to the inside of my bowl before adding the sentiment and gold stars using the tissue paper technique as trying to get an image to stamp inside such a vessel would be pretty tricky.
I used some black acrylic mixed with glaze medium to add some depth to the depressed stars and make them pop a little.
Now it's deciding what yummy treasures to put inside.

Thank you so much for stopping by,
Enjoy a wonderfully creative weekend,

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #81 ~ Picture Inspiration

Hello and welcome,
I'm running a little late posting my project for the current fortnightly challenge over at the Paperbabe Stamps blog...
It's a picture inspiration this time and I am very interested in the theme of Cairns, didn't realise I do this often when I'm surrounded by rocks on my beach walks lol.
I was inspired by Joan Bess tutorial using masking fluid with the gelli plate printing... I started by squiggling the fine tip masking fluid rose design over my blank cardstock before following the steps.
I've used the herringbone and polka dot stencils to give lots of interest and texture to the earthy base layer.
I cut out some rock shapes free hand from some scrap paper to use as a mask over the background to then pull another print. I removed the masking fluid to get the bright white design.
I then reused the rock shapes to add shadows with distress inks, and a white and black stabilo pencil to add even further depth, I spritz the finished image with water to activate the pencils.
I completed my picture with a very fitting quote...

I'm adding this to a few other challenges...
