Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #45 ~ Spooky

We have a new challenge on the blog today and the theme is spooky...
I didn't think mine was too spooky, I've created a day of the dead girl this week, using a the female face mini along with the Sugar Skull mini stamp set.
I opted for the Central Wavy Parting hairstyle with the Head & Torso templates. Her top was created using the dots from Pop Dots stamp set.
So I am an advocate of always trying new techniques and styles, I wanted to use coloured pencils without blending like I usually do, very rough texture, and I'm screaming to get a blending stump and more layers of pencil on it.
Her eyes are coloured with copics as well as the background and I've used grey ink for all the stamping.

Paperbabe Stamps Second day Introductions with Bottle Of.

Good morning, thanks for stopping by,
We're on the second day of introductions for Paperbabe Stamps

I've created a clean and simple decor piece today, I was going for a pastel chalk finish on my bottles with an embossed label area, I think they need work, lol
I've covered the largest circle from my hanging circle media blanks with some patterned paper and inked the edges.
I've added half a doily to create a shelf area.
Then glued the two circular hanging parts to the back for dimension.
For the bottles I adhered the bottle lip before I've painted two layers of matt acrylic paints,
when completely dry I've stamped the ornate label and sentiments in embossing powder.
I used the cork top stamp to add a little texture to the cork tops in the mdf substrates kit. Then simply adhered in place. What every home needs, love, magic and happiness.

Now it's time to visit the rest of the wonderful team's fabulous projects...

Thank you very much for stopping by.
Enjoy a wonderfully creative day.

Introducing Paperbabe Stamps 'Bottle of' Release

We're introducing a new stamp set, stencils and substrates on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today and here's my sample, just one today, my time is spread too thin right now...
I imagined a bottle of fairy dust would be a fab card for any magical occasion.
I stamped the outline bottle first, then the crown top and ornate label, I've coloured the whole image in using copic markers: 0, C4, C3, C1, RV10, RV11, RV34, YG41, YG45.
I've gone over the pink with wink of stella because all fairy dust sparkles.
I've used a white coloured pencil, and added dots with my posca pen to add the swirl of magic around the bottle. The base card I've added a sparkle tape to the edges before adding the image on dimensional adhesive.

If you get a moment why not visit the rest of the amazing team's fabulous projects...

Thanks for stopping by, I should have another inspirational sample tomorrow so pop by then.

Enjoy a wonderfully creative day!

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #44 ~ Picture Inspiration

we have a lovely picture inspiration to challenge you this fortnight over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today...

I had loads of fun creating this drawing I was completely inspired to use only ink as it's Inktober and I would love to be taking part, but I just can't spare the time right now.
So, I used lots of my mixed media templates...
Firstly the Long loose wave for her flowing hair along with the all important head & torso template. I started with pencil and went over the lines in black pen, and biro for the thinner faint lines. I stamped her features using the female face stamp.
I'm also trying to practice hands so I added one in my design using the hand template. The picture reminded me of a fashion shot so thought I would add a fabulous beanie hat and stamped the yummy houndstooth pattern from the Design a Tweed stamp set, through the negative parts of the hat template.

Thanks for stopping by, I am currently busy looking for a new home, packing when I can and creating samples for our new release, next week, phew!
I think all us artist must have a little bit of crazy!
Enjoy a wonderfully creative weekend!!!
