Second day of Club Anya & Friends Previews!!!

Good Morning, this is the second day of previews at Club Anya & Friend's and also Saturday Sketch time! Now, this is my second post already this morning so if you would love to... you can scroll down for the new BG challenge and my basic grey sample...

Well, I've place my pocket card beside Pam's fabulous sketch so you could see the similarity to the original LOL! See? I have only split the top rectangle into two. I was going to use the same patterned paper but it was a little OTT!

Am I allowed to totally love this card? tee hee... Amelia is such a little doll! so adorable and I LOVE her fab hair - couldn't you imagine her pig tails bouncing past, ha ha ha? She's available with Oliver and sentiments too... at The Greeting Farm on the 1st. You may have spotted my Tim flower again, seriously the die just keeps falling into my hands! To get the really soft scruffy petals I ran it through my crimper in different directions then pressed into mouse mat with the end of a pokey tool thingy.
It's soo subtle... you might just see... in the top picture that I have stamped Amelia with distress ink on the insert of my card, to create a shadow image, should be able to write over it. And her stars have all be embellished with a generous amount of glitter!!!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: October Afternoon: thrift shop;

Sorry too that the comments are at the top of my post I have been fiddling round to fix it to the bottom but nothing is working, I think my posts are looking a little confusing, the title isn't very big either, also I have lost the click to enlarge on my pics, phew anyway have a wonderful weekend, and looking forward to seeing you at the PCP live chat on Monday night/tues morning for us UKians LOL, BiG HuGs Kim :)

Be Free... Basic Grey Challenge

Welcome to another Basic Grey challenge...

This week Martine has designed a fabulous sketch for us. I have been waiting to use this stamp set too ha ha ha, I slowly getting through my growing stash. I had a little fun with colours as you can see with the clouds, I've paper pieced everything :). The sky background on the circle I've created using the cloud image as a mask and blending with distress ink. A little drawn line to represent the square layer in the sketch and then those corners... Really struggled with them, they feel slightly plonked on!!!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Basic Grey: green at heart;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: fly away;
Ink: Archival: black; distress inks: Copic: black multiliner pen; spica glitter;

Thanks for stopping by and sorry my comments is at the top of my posts I've tried to change it but nothing works!!!

Wild Wednesday...

GOOD MORNING...

Now...  it's my turn to set the challenge over at Club Anya & Friends today and this Wednesday it's another colour theme but something a little sweet..

Pink Chocolate Roses...

Yes we would love to see pink, brown and rose colours on your creations, here's my card using the adorable Nahla from the fantastic Roll Call set,

I went for some very old paper in my paper tower, this is one of the first collections I purchased ages ago but it's nice to give it another lease of life and I thought the colours would be lovely and subtle for the challenge! Totally inspired by Mercy's fantastic Sketch and I experimented with my stitched ribbon by pulling the top thread to create my very own custom made no sew ruffle. The embellishment is shrink plastic stamped with the spotlight set butterfly. If you haven't guessed already... I may have coloured her using my copics ha ha ha!
She really reminds me of Maoleidigh, super cute innocent eyes and that unruly curly hair. We are trying to grow sunflowers... which she insists need picking and putting elsewhere (way before the shoot is and inch tall.. LOL)

Supplies: Patterned Paper: SassafrasLass: in stitches;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: Roll Call set; Spotlight set;
Ink: Memento & archival: black; Copic: markers*; distress inks: spun sugar; inkessential: white pen:
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities: labels 8; WRMK: corner chomper;
Other: adhesive stones, shrink plastic, stitch ribbon; 3D foam;

*Skin: E000, 00, 11, 13 & R20, eyes: B21, Hair: E35, 51, 50, Outfit: RV23, 34, R000, E71, 74, Y32, 35, I used my colourless Blender throughout!!!

So, seeing as I participated in WOYWW last week I thought I would show you the mess I have to clear up today after my little creativity yesterday....

I had to hide a few things as they're for magazine article... but this is the main working area of my desk and there's certainly loads to see, bits and bobs everywhere ha ha ha!!! Ooo look at my new ink blending tool holder, not sure it will stay there. Such a fab thingy, I have writen the colours onto the blending foam but (as I found out you will need to heat set it or it will contaminate your work Big Time). I still have acrylic paints and medium sat on my desk since the painting I did a few months ago tut tut. Also I see a stack of stamps to put away.. I'm hoping to nose round a few more desks this week,

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful day BiG HuGs Kim :)

HuGs for You ~ FFF and PDCC

Good Morning, I realise there's a fantastic Monday Mania challenge over at Club Anya & Friends but I've been wanting to use this adorable image for a while now...

  My card is based on the fabulous FFF sketch over at The Greeting farm and I decided to combine this with the colour challenge over at Play Date Cafe too. I treated myself to some pink paislee papers from the Stamp Attic while I was there ~ art journalling "Hello ladies"... (getting inky and messy, tee hee) Wendy has a fabulous shop I could have spent the day in there, a proper crafty treasure trove.
So on to the card... I have paper pieced the adorable grandma although some of the pattern is a little lost in the picture. I made the canvas flower by inking some sticky back canvas with distress inks and stamping the dotty background. Then, I have die cut and adhered two back to back to get a double sided petal (probably should have done that before I passed it through my big shot!). The BG brad just went so well with the colours and I have stamped the sentiment directly onto the taffeta ribbon. I fussy cut the flowery leaves and raised on a little foam.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: pink paislee; Queen Bee;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: Grammie & Gramps set; PTI: Polka Dot basics II;
Ink: Memento & archival: black; Copic: markers*; distress inks*;
Dies: Sizzix: TH tattered florals;
Other: BG: glazed brad; Taffeta ribbon; Studio: sticky back canvas; Prima: lace; TH ruler, pokey tool & edge distresser; 3D foam;

*Skin: E000, 11, 13 & R20, eyes: B41, Hair: E35, 97 Outfit: RV21, E04, YG93, C-3, I used my colourless Blender throughout!!!

* spun sugar, worn lipstick, bundled sage, antique linen, old paper,

Thank you for stopping by, hope you have a good start to your week, HuGs Kim :)

Club Anya & Friends ~ Saturday Sketch #19

 Good Morning, well, hope you are having a wonderful start to your weekend... We have a sketch to inspire you over at Club Anya & Friends....

This had better be Saturday morning as I have scheduled this post... I'm going out today to the Stamp Attic for a wonderful art journalling workshop with Sarah Anderson which I'm totally excited about, I'm dragging my mum along for the fun too... Woo Hoo.

So for my card I have used the adorable 'Paul' sprout from Roll Call set, plus the fun sentiment too!  Quite a few of Dillon's friends are celebrating their birthdays and these sprouts are just perfect! I have followed Pam's fabulous sketch pretty much straight forward for me anyway. Used my copics again lol! and thank you for all your lovely comments on my recent card and I will be compiling a tutorial of how I create the grass very soon after the launch of Color Me Copic blog.. will keep you posted.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket; the boyfriend;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: Roll Call set;
Ink: Memento & archival: black; Copic: markers*; distress ink: antique linen;
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities: circles; Sizzix: TH on the edge;
Other: button; 3D foam;

*Skin: E000, 11, 13 & R20, eyes: B41, Hair: E57, 47, 35, Outfit: R24, 46, N1, 3, 5 I used my colourless Blender throughout!!!

FYI: as you may have noticed I have a little love of die cutting and just in case you have a little time and want some dies to add to your collection I noticed there's a fabulous competition over at sizzix, which of course I will be entering as you can NEVER have enough dies... I've only spotted two Pete's though LOL!

Have a wonderful weekend, will show my messy journal pages over the next week, thanks for stopping by HuGs Kim :)

Wild Card Wednesday ~ Summer

Wow good morning, Lots to share this Wednesday LOL, like WCW, WOYWW, 2S4Y, Mad for Markers...

For WCW this week the talented Kelly is challenging you to create a project with a summer theme using as much yellow as possible... So I HAD to use Summer from TGF Roll Call Set and I've used plenty of yellow! so fun. I went for a picnic theme really, the gingham fits in so well. I then coloured the pretty Summer using my copics (of course), gave her a little grassy garden and even managed to colour the whole sky background! I've attempted feather blending on her outfit and a little on her hair. Which fits in nicely with the challenge over at Mad for Markers challenge. And in  case you can't see it, I have used Laura's wonderful sketch over at 2Sketches4You. Just budged the ribbon down a little to hold the cute sentiment!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: October Afternoon: fly a kite;
Stamps: The Greeting Farm: Roll Call - Summer + sentiment;
Ink: Memento & archival: black; Copic: markers*; distress ink: old paper; inkessential: white;
Dies: Spellbinder's nestabilties: scallop circles; tags; Fiskars: border punch; MS: punch
Other: Offray: ribbon, adhesive gems; 3D foam;

*Skin: E000, 11, 13 & R20, eyes: G12, Hair: E50, 51, 35, 97 Outfit: R22, 37, Y35, E97, G12, The grass: YG67, 93, G29, Y35 & BG0000 for the Sky and I use my colourless Blender throughout.

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday

Now, I've been eager to participate in WOYWW for ages... so took the opportunity to snap a quick picture of this desk. OK so it's not my usual desk this is the dinner table but it's so nice to bring things out here and have the wonderful help for my adorable assistant to mount and organise my growing stamp collection.

I like to laminate the image card as the stamp clings so well to the back. Then arrange in a drawer...
Here's Dillon waiting so intently for the laminator to do its job, LOL
Now here they are in there new home organised and tidy, I have a draw just for Anya stamps now as well as one for The Greeting farm LOL (not that I'm addicted or anything ;)
See... I have other stamps too, which I organise pretty much the same way and if I don't have an image card I simply stamp my own!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and hope the middle of your week will be creative and inspiring too, HuGs Kim :)
